I don't even know if my Camaro is really ordered...

On June 20th I placed my order and the next day I called to ask a couple of questions about changing the color of my leather seats. They replied the following day and told me he didnít know what the colors for the leather seats were but he would get back to me the next day. July 29th I still had not heard from them so I called. He calls back the next day, tells me he changed the color of the seats and said my car had been ordered already. So I asked if I could have the workbench number and he didnít know what I was talking about but he would find out and call me the next day. Its 2 weeks later and I still havenít heard back from them.

I kinda want to cancel and go somewhere else but I am afraid if I do, then I wonít get my Camaro till next year. But at the same time, I am wondering if they even really ordered my car. (They told me at the time of order I was first on the list for the next allocation). I donít know what the hell to do.

I donít want to be pushy but shouldnít I get that number if they already placed the order?

No. I have asked for it and he didn't even know what that was. Because of this site, I told him what it was and he said he would get back with me; that was 2 weeks ago.

I went with Chris Brennan at RK Chevrolet...

He put in the order 10 days ago, and i'm at 3000 awaiting TPW. I would give him a call. BTW, your a lot closer to the dealership than I am, but that didn't stop me. Heres his contact info and a link to a thread about his allocation. My local dealer kept lying to me about my order and was basically playing games, chris does not.

No and let me tell you why. When I arrived I had $500-$1000 to put down for a deposit because that is what I heard the deposits were. BUT when I got there I asked them how much of a deposit I had to place and they said 'none'. I was confused because they told me they were taking orders. He said, yes they were taking orders but they weren't taking deposits because it didnt seem fair to the customer for them to hold their money when they had to wait for a car. I insisted on giving him my money and they would not take it at all. I asked him if it made a difference and he told me that they won't take the money but they will take the order and place it. I was supposed to be next on the allocation list.

I know that sounds wierd but that is what they told me.

You're in Texas and ordered your Camaro from Virginia? Do they ship your car to a local dealership near you?

well, i think its time to rethink the situation at hand. if in all seriousness dont think that your car has been ordered and you haven't even payed the dealer, you have nothing to lose by going to the dealer listed above and actually getting a car. i no it may possibly set you back a month and trust me i know, that would suck, but atleast this way you are guarenteed to actually get a car. just my opinion of course

SoonersGirl, before you start over, do this. Call the dealer, and make an appointment to talk to the OWNER, don't tell them why, just make the appointment. Show up, and when you go in the dealer, do NOT talk to your salesmen, go straight to the owners office. Ensure you tell him everything you told us, and don't leave his office till he supplies you with your workbench number. IF he can't, they have NOT ordered your car, and make sure you tell them that they lost a for sure sale, and that reason is your salesman. Before I left, I would mention that you are in a national camaro club and the club tracks and reports dealers which treat customers like crap. And they are "BLACK LISTED". then go to a reputable dealer and place another order.

+1 I'm pretty sure the owner of the place will be able to come up with that 6 digit and it won't / shouldn't take too long either.

No, once it comes in I'm going to either a) wire them the money and have it shipped to me on my dime, or b.) find out if it can be shipped to ligenfelter for some upgrades...
