Hey Pete, these Michelin Pilot Super Sports arent too bad so far.

I fixed the wheel. I ordered Locktite 5900 online. This is what Forgeline actually uses. let it cure overnight, and now perfect.

All i can say is 305s on all 4 corners with Michelin PSS is scary sticky! Oh, and the rear ZL1 Pedders sway makes quite a difference. Can't imagine what it will do with the camber plates set to -2.7

Mr Pete any idea of offsets required to do this?

wish i could do that but i need to make tires last by being able to rotate them at the track....the 305 has offsets that make tires unrotateable unless i take them off the wheel and remount and balance

Or get the same offsets and use a spacer. Not sure how I would feel about a spacer though.

Hmmm that's going to depend somewhat on the wheel you want. I've got a 28mm offset on mine but they're 9.5". You'll want a 10" minimum for a 295. Are you planning on sticking with 18" rims? The biggest Michelin PSS for an 18 is 285/35-ZR18 which a 10" rim is optimal for. Puts down a 10.2" tire patch on the road. You can get a 295/35-ZR19 in a PSS if you go up one rim size to a 19x10; tire patch is 11.1".

I'm going to guess a 25-26mm offset might be about right to keep them from sticking out too far but spoke clearance for the calipers is something to watch out for. If you get the RB front caliper upgrade I think those give an additional 3mm clearance on the spoke side which would definitely help.

thinking of going 19 inch with r triple 8 tires for track now. wheels would be forgestar or forgeline if i can stomach the price.

I like my 18s but wont let me get new lca and big sways.

hoping to have wheels tires and full suspension done before 2014 gets here...almost done with brakes....for now and am done with drivetrain....for now

I don't think we are ever done messing with these cars...I have wanted to try a set of sticky tires for a long time, but the 200 TW rules for most Pro Touring events stop me from buying them...I already spend too much on tires...

When we came out with the 305 fitment, some considered it too radical to succeed.

Kind regards,
Now the Z/28 is running Pedders 305/30/19s

Forgeline supported us as they always do and we made the 'radical' fitment work. Making things work is what we do at Pedders. Partners like Forgeline are a huge help. In exchange for the special support we get from Forgeline and our respect for their intellectual property we refer all questions about offset back to them.

We started with 19x10.5s all round. Now Forgeline has worked out 11s all round

Car and Driver

In a departure from current fashion, the Z/28 goes down in wheel and tire size, from the 20 inchers on other V-8 Camaros to 19s. Mark Stielow, the Z/28’s engineering manager, explains that “the 19s are lighter, have less rotational inertia, and let us lower the car.” The special lightweight wheels are 11 inches wide in the front and shod with 305/30ZR-19 Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires all around. Chevy tells us that these are the widest tires mounted on the front of any production car. A streetable track tire, the Trofeo Rs have a tread-wear rating of 60 and are manufactured in the same plant as Pirelli’s F1 rubber.

Glad you liked the Azeni's, problem is when you move to 19's, I don't think they make them...R888's would be fun to run on...go get some...

the azenis i was surprised to see in the size i wanted... they are more import sizes was shocked to see the width the had for 18. Ya 19s will limit me significantly on tire selection.

if the bfg rivals ever appear i will check to see them
