Where I live, it makes all the difference between washes. It also greatly helps if you plan on using a cover.

I've used one on all my cars.
Buy one.
You will not be sorry.

I use the duster everyday on my baby.
Have not washed it since I picked it up!
Going to wash it this weekend though just so I can try out the
Zaino products.

It is a great product. I washed and waxed my grandfathers 62 T-bird then one week later it was covered in garage dust so I dusted it off with the duster, the car came out clean and looked like I had just washed it.

I love mine. I have a very long gravel driveway and my car looks dusty when I get to the black top. I pop the trunk and dust it off. The car looks great when I am done (its a black car too).

used to have one just make sure you clean it often sometimes small particles will get in there and start leaving swirl marks

I live on a dirt driveway too, I use one all of the time. You can just barely touch the car with it and it keeps it clean between washes.

I use both a California duster and a microfiber duster from Griot's. Both work great. You can take the head off the microfiber duster and throw in the washer...now it's like new. Also get a duster just for cleaning you wheels. Gets the brake dust off. Mark it and use only for wheels.

I'll endorse it too. I think the key here is only for light dustings or you might risk scratching.

It is an easy way to take the dust off between washes, and it it takes a fraction of the time to get the same results.

what is the proper way to clean a california duster? The website says it works better when its dirty and your not supposed to clean it....I am not buying that but wanted to ask...mine is super dirty after a few weeks of everyday use.

They are great if used correctly. Check out Junkman's proper use of waterless wash videos so your not grinding the dust into your finish. Yes he shows you how to use a california duster

Buy it, or buy a new one when you feel that yours is too dirty. I have 2 that haven't been washed in years (and will never be washed), and they work perfectly fine. The manufacturer knows their product. Follow their recommendations. Not following their recommendations is why so many people scratch the hell out of their paint with the CA Duster.

Like the Junkman said...they work fine. I'd be lost without mine. Make sure you don't keep it in the bag it comes in. Hang it up so that the bristles hang directly down. Don't spray anything on it, don't wash it (its treated), and just ever-so-gently touch the surface (if the bristles are bent over,,,you are putting too much pressure).

Have fun.

It's true, the dirtier they get the better they work. I've been using the same one since 2002!

I have one, and have not washed it but I find it deposits wax-like streaks on the car (used it on the black '68 for dust it gathered in the garage).

Don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what.

Did you soak it on newspapers for 24 hours as the instructions say to do when new?

I don't recall seeing those instructions. Maybe I should just buy a new one.
