What do you do with orginal exhaust/intake parts after upgrade?

Hey all, I plan to install a cat-back system and CAI at some point. Just wondering what everyone is doing with the old parts? I would probably have the dealer the install the cat-back system before I take delivery. I really don't want to keep the original exhaust, but at the same time, it is perfectly brand new and nothing wrong with it. It seems silly to just throw it away. Isn't there still some kind of dollar value attached to it? I would be happy for the dealer to install my system for free in exchange for keeping the factory system for themselves to repair someone else's car someday. I don't know... What do you think?

Every car that I've customized, I've always kept the original factory parts. You never know when something might go wrong and you have to put the original back on while you wait for a replacement... or you may be in financial trouble and might not be able to afford a replacement and will have to go back to stock. Just my 0.02.

I agree with chris. the only reason i would get rid of it would be if space was an issue.

Kept the intake but no room for exhaust when I upgrade to cat back.

Some day 20 or so years from now someone will be restoring one of these cars and will pay top dollar to have one in mint condition.

I agree. I have always kept my stock parts when modding my cars over the years. Every time I sell my car, I sell the aftermarket parts for some kind of recoupe.

Agree. Keeping the stock parts to return to stock if necessary is good insurance for the price of a little storage space.

If I had the room to store them, I would. I live in an apartment, no room for anything like that. I would hate to toss a practically brand new exhaust system. The intake is smaller, I would keep that no problem. From the pictures I have seen, it looks like the entire exhaust from the cats is welded as one piece. Is this true? I guess I would have to cut it into smaller pieces and figure out where to store it. Has anyone been offered any money for their old systems?
