I started and drove my car for a little bit with kooks 1 7/8 headers, no cats, and the muffler section of a kooks catback taken off. which would pretty much just be dumped straight pipes.

it's loud.... very very very loud.

It will be NASCAR loud.
It will sound great, but you'll have to be careful not to get a noise ticket. If you see a cop, you'll have to basically idle down the street.

it was with heads and cam

and even idling, you will get looks from cops. you can't even remotely try to be sneaky with that

I think it sounds like a truck.. not a performance car.. unless you have a kickazz cam job.. I tried it for fun... sounded terrible.

Thats like the kids that put eight 15's in the back of their tahoes and its HELLA Loud but it sounds terrible.

if you want loud, get a the slp lm1 exhaust. hands down. i had dumped true duals that were straight pipes on my 4th gen for awhile, when I went through the "ungodly loud exhaust" phase.... my friend had the same exact car except with a slp lm1, and his was louder.

your ear drums will hate you though.

A vendor showed that there was no performance difference between no cats and highflow ones. Unless you're just strapped for $$, highflows will be better for the PCM and won't smell bad. The sound preference is purely that, preference.
