Yes. Then had local shop paint it all.

There is a post in the DIY section. but you are close by. It was pretty easy. I could show/help/phone explanation, etc., anytime. Let me know.

R-F CAI installed

Here is a pic the R-F CAI intalled on my car. I love it! I just got the engine cover recently, only test fitted it for the pic. It is back in the box and the orig cover back on. I will be selling the painted cover after Maggie 2300 gets intalled in a couple of weeks so I want to keep it in new condition for the interested buyer.

Nice unit. Have you seen the stock cover cut to be used with the maggie?

I think SLP did it or one of the major performance shops. They cut out the center section and just mounted the valve covers. That's what I will try.

Where are you getting your maggie done? $$$? I am looking to do one too! Group buy??

Can't you use the (2) painted sides of the engine cover with the TVS 2300 Magnacharger? I was under the impression that they could be cut to cover the coils and wires on each side of the engine after the S/C is installed?
I was hoping to have someone modify my stock cover and have the sides put back on after the install.

Where did you get those covers by the way? I may need to get some if I cannot use the stock sides with the S/C.

Thanks and great pics!

Yep, I have seen the modified stock cover to fit the Maggie. Hennessey sells it for $495 and $695 painted to you color. They installed mounting brackets or clips for the side covers so stay on. Looks nice with the Maggie!
I agree, you can cut the middle part out, and I don't see a prob with the passenger side mounting since the oil cap holds that side down, but the driver side is another issue as there would be nothing holding it down without some fabrication of a bracket or clip.
PM me if you are interested in the knowing the shop that'll be doing the Maggie install and tune on my car. I spoke to several shops and this shop has the best price and excellent reputation, highly recommended by Magnuson and corvette guys in SoCal.

You do have the one post on the outboard side of driverside, but I agree you would need something inboard.

We do make aluminum engine covers for the Maggie. Like our other engine covers, all of the mounts are TIG welded to the underside of the cover and hardware is supplied. Unfortunately, we don't have any pics of painted covers as they are normally sold to tuners who do their own custom paint. However, we can have them painted to your specs.
The I/C coolant lines and small reservoir must be positioned for cover clearance, so it helps for the tech to have the covers in hand while doing the installation.

Sounds good to me, I intend on getting your CAI soon and would lile to get a price for these engine covers painted in Red Jewel Tintcoat. What would the price be for the painted version?

We have some light red hoses, but no orange...maybe the light???
BTW, we are having hoses made in a darker red which very closely matches the Victory red.
