All of you with the LMR intake

I just installed my LMR intake and I am very happy with it. I can definitely tell a difference from the 3 to 6k rpm range. I was wondering if you guys are getting the same results as mine and did anyone do a dyno before installing your LMR intake and after? If so what were the results? Just trying to get an average gain with the intake. It sounds awesome as well! Any feed back would be appreciated.

It's a great intake, I also had other engine mods done to my Camaro but when I give it gas you can hear the intake very good taking in all that air

No dyno numbers, but I love my LMR intake. The sound of the engine is amazing with the intake.
My car was dynoed bone stock (before intake and axle back exhaust) so I don't have any dyno numbers. Hopefully I can get my car re-dynoed sometime soon to see how much of a difference the intake and axle back have made.

We installed 3 this week. All of them fit well, and all of them gained a average of 8 rwhp before we started tuning. Great product and it looks really good installed. Needless to say we ordered several more for stock !

I had my car on the dyno and it made 370hp and 373tq stock. We put the lmr cai and it made 381hp and 377tq with no tune. I also bought a complete stainlessworks headers , x pipe and mufflers. We put it on yesterday but ran out of time to tune it. And it sound killer. Its going back monday for the tune. I will let you know what it makes monday.

Has anyone noticed any low speed/rpm drivability issues such as hesitation or bucking at steady speeds (30-45 in 3rd or 4th) with their CAI installed? My stock intake only happens when cold but o.k. after warm. I installed an OTR intake and now it's all the time, even after warm. I noticed improved acceleration but cruising at a steady speed is anoying now because of the bucking. I'm bringing it to the dealer with the stock intake to see if there is any issue but they probably won't find anything wrong because it's so subtle with the stock one.

What do you mean by porting the throttle body? How involved is it to have done?

Bone stock ( 319 rwhp, 313 lb ft).
Stock -w-tune (330 rwhp, 338 lb ft).
For comparisons. This same dyno was used to dyno the L99 Camaro featured in GM High Tech Peformance Mag. He made 318 rwhp stock on this dyno and ran 13.3 @ 105 mph at BMP in the heat and humidity. So my car should have been good for 13.3s in the heat, stock.

Yeah, I would like to see how much extra HP/TQ the intake and off road axle back have added.

Is our CAI system the only mod you have installed on your car? Have you had someone try and tune it? It sounds like its something in the tune. We have installed several of these units while keeping the factory tune and have not seen any issues. Average gain of just bolting on our unit with factory tune results in 13rwhp.

Here is a great example of how our CAI system picked up over 20rwhp from just bolting on our CAI system to a car that already had headers/exhaust. This was all done with a factory tune. We will be able to pick up another 10-15rwhp once tuned. Enjoy!

I haven't tried your CAI, it was another manufacturer's OTR style. They can't find anything wrong with their unit and there are many out there with no issues. I was posting to find out if anyone had a similar problem with yours. After the dealership looks at it this week I will decide whether to return theirs and get yours, or stick to stock, depending on their findings.

Sounds like maybe you have a tune issue, you say it already had symptoms that were amplified by the CAI. Possibly even a vacuum leak somewhere. The dealers should be able to find the problem. Just adding a CAI isn't going to change anything on the car other than sound and power.
