ZL1 Spoiler Brake Light Removal

I'm not sure if this has been brought up in any other threads, but I like the look of the ZL1 rear spoiler. As others have mentioned, I am not big on having 2 third brake lights. Most people say just to unhook the the rear brake light in the window. My thoughts were to remove the brake light from the spoiler. So my question, for anybody who has one, is the brake light just bolted to the underside of the spoiler and can it be removed easily. I would think so but don't want to spend the money and find out I'm wrong.

I removed my light to have it painted (smoked). Two 15 torques screws and 3m tape is all that holds it in
