Camaro IN MOTORTREND

Looks sweet, I have not seen this car in the many photos that have been seen.
Hope this is not a repost.

Hmmm. Yeah I'd like to see what the all-mighty Motortrend Mag has to say. June 08? Isn't that this months Issue?

In fact, I'm gonna run down to the Wally World and pic it up and be back with some pieces.

No Motortrend Mag, But I got some Reese's Pieces.

Hey youy see that up there Dragoneye?

"(say, at least 500hp) SS (Super Sport) Edition to combat the Shelby GT500."

And I love the speculation of pricing: 42k to 45 for the higher end model. I'm all for the Z/28 SS combo. All I know is that I've got a diecast Bumblebee with the exact color that I want and I'm already shopping for Paint and body shops to match it.

...ah-ah-ah, keep that SS under $40 g's

Motor Trend says (in the online article) that the Z/28 could be $27,000, I know for sure Dealers will mark it up to $31,000-$33,000. I'm not going a penny over $34,000 max, the SS just costs too much at $45,000+, I'd rather upgrade a Z/28, 400+ HP is more than enough for me.

Thanks for the pics too, man the car looks menacing in those photos!

Those are interesting new pics in the magazine.
Are those silver bowties? That's the first one I've seen with any badging.
And where are the back-up lights?

hate car and driver. but not as much as road and track. they would cover a bowel movement if enzo ferrari would let them.

those silver bowties look badass. and i really hope we get the 500+ hp in the SS, as well as the SS staying 42 and below. otherwise its a Z28 for me!

You could be right... they are the only pics we saw snow in. It's definitely not a production version with those headlights still in there.

i agree...except 4 the whole ss-44 g's! i don't think the ss should be over 35. the sales would explode out the door if peoples options for a killer pony car were stang gt500-40+ challenger srt8-40+ 'maro-less than 35!

Definitely think it's a shopped picture, but it does look damn good.

*Starts rethinking the whole black paint issue...again...*

You should check out the dealers thread...good and bad dealers...because you shouldn't settle to pay any mark-up, Scott told us never to pay mark-ups. In fact, he said that there are mark-ups "just say NOOOOO!!!!" $27k sounds nice Also...Z/28 may be wrong... However, 400+ HP is more than enough for me too!

I think that the symbols look really good on the Camaro...but I'm still wishing for GM to incorporate the Camaro symbol into the grill...Maybe it can be an option

One more thing! I'm really REALLY glad that the Camaro is making it into magazines again! (especially Motortrend )

I think if I wait a good 6 months to a year, I'll be able to find the high trim model for about 35k. I'm prepared for a $40k car but I pride myself on my being able to find a deal. Question is, will I be able to wait that long. I may just get a loaded V8 for that. 400 hp will sufice, maybe.

I've have been losing patience lately. I don't know how long I'll last.

MAGAZINE SPECULATION. God I hate how people take magazines seriously when we know GM hasn't released any price info.

PLEASE STOP TAKING MAGAZINES', ESPECIALLY MOTORTRENDS ARTICLES FOR TRUTH! THEY SAID A FEW MONTHS AGO IT WAS GOING TO HAVE AN LS2!!

ya i agree they have no clue...no more than us at least...

is there any chance we would be able to get them without dealer mark up.... sry for the dumb question but why do the dealers mark up so much...do they make anything if they sell it without that extra mark up!???
