Question Who's ready for LESS THAN MSRP????

It's been WELL over a year, and months before ordering began that I announced we'd be selling at MSRP and honoring discounts....

Cars are becoming available - markup seems to be slowly dissapearing....

So, is it time we see LESS THAN MSRP WITHOUT Discounts?????

As much as I would love to pay under MSRP, there simply isn't enough around to allow the buyer to have any leverage. It's almost like asking who's ready to make a lowball offer on a house in 2005...it's all about supply and demand.

Much appreciation to folks like you Scotty for not taking advantage of the situation and selling at MSRP as opposed to the rediculous markups I've seen.

I'm saving for a big fat down payment. Going to order after Christmas. I'm hoping sales cool off. I would love some kind of cash price, or incentive, or no-charge RS package, something. At least I would expect the dealer to through in free window tint and remote start, (ordering a 1SS).

If you have a honest dealer you can get below MSRP I did back in 04/01/09. I paid $500 over invoice. I recieved my car on 08/14/09.

My local dealer has be sitting on a black 2SS since early July at MSRP. Two other area dealers have USED 2SS for 5-7K over sticker and have had them for over a month now too. Hearing more and more stories of customers walking away from their orders for whatever reason. I think it is early yet, but I think by the holidays it will be common to see 3+ Camaros at any given dealer and therefore easier to get a better deal.

One dealer around here told me if I ordered now and took delivery after Nov 1st I could have it at the supplier price. Which would be cool except I may have a much better deal than that available.

YES- but you have to order the car and have it drop shipped to a local dealer which involves a fee for the local dealer. It is unlikely that your local dealer is one of the few that are discounting cars yet. Still enough dumb-asses out there that will pay a markup.

I think by Christmas smart buyers will get their Camaros for less than MSRP from most dealers.

Well as much as I wou;d have loved for the Chevy Dealer to tell me "I'll give it to you 5k under MSRP" like the BMW dealer did in Plano I don't think it will take place for until the 2011 comes out with a more upgraded model, which it probably won't be different by much and the discount will probably be not more than 1k or 2k off of MSRP. I paid $500 more FYI, but the dealer gave me items to compensate for the over charge(5 window tint, door edge gaurds, painted pin stripes, and one year free car wash).
