There is no substitute for looking up at the clouds or stars with the wind in your hair and the sound of a 450HP V8 in your ears. At least for me.

Until you have had a powerful vert, you don't know what you're missing.

I'm not a softtop kinda' guy, however, I think it looks really good. I'm looking past the colors, but I like the streamlined roof and the window openings. I'm not planning on getting one, however, I think they're doing a really good job.

JMHO.

Like others have said...the color combo in a word is UNAPPEALING! It seems that the rag top takes something away from the camaro.

Fellas, there is a reason that there are many choices for vehicles and option. Not eveyone likes the same things. If that was the case, the roads and driving would be VERY boring and bland. Just because "you" don't like the vert, doesn't mean it shouldn't be built. I for one own or have owned at least one of every generation camaro and they have all been coupes. I've recently riden in a '69 pace car vert and have fallen in love with them so much that I have passed on many new SS's for the vert. I may be speaking for others that it would be nice to read info on the new vert without weeding through the posts from vert haters. Just a suggestion to help us in the minority.

I don't really care for convertibles, but I hope it sells a TON so that GM looks into adding another model to the Camaro Line up. It rhymes with 'smed venty mate'

Yea the tan top isn't my first choice, but its not the end of the Camaro world. If it doesn't sell that well then the colors will be dropped, but until then please keep the excessive derogatory comments to yourselves so those of us who want to enjoy the coming of the vert can enjoy it. Also, before you start bashing the vert, try one out first. Don't just hate on it because you can't afford one or are afraid of them. If you unbiasedly try one out and honestly don't like it, then and only then can you appropriately say you don't like it, but just say that and don't try to put it down to overcome your own shortcomings. Remember this is supposedly to be a friendly, constructive sight to better the almighty ,, Camaro, not hate on it.

P.S.
I LOVE the convertibles!! can't wait for the successful production, cause we all know what that means... the rebirth of the hallowed Z28

Me No Like

Don't like the convertibles. They look okay with the top down, but that rag is just lame. I never liked the rag-top mustangs either. I much prefer a sunroof or t-top. I also noticed that at highway speeds the rag-tops on other cars anyway appear to be ballooning out. Has anyone else ever noticed that?

No it has been confirmed Q2 OF 2011.

No, there is no official confirmation of a Z28, just speculation. Visit the Lounge, lots of fun on that topic.

Oh and last one, the tan top may just have been all that is available. Look at the Corvette, Black, Beige and Grey top color available. So you will likely be able to choose the combination you like.

Don't assume that these are even production choices. These are pre production cars with prototype parts. Production cars come from Oshawa, not Australia.
