Anyone heard if GM to address Passenger seat

Has anyone heard if GM is going to start putting in a passenger seat that will adjust up/down any time soon (or at all)? To me that seems like a fairly big issue that should be easily addressed and is one of the "very few" negatives on the car.

To me the 2LT and 2SS should come with both front seats being full power and also with memory settings. Yes GM....add a little more to the price for these features. Surely that can't cost all that much and for me I'm willing to pay for those options.

It would be nice. Bonnie is only 5' 3" tall and says she feels like shes sitting in a tank. But I got the fix, ala 'TheHolyCow' lol

I agree, this would have been a nice feature. My wife is 5'3" and complains the passenger seat is a just a little too low. I'm 6'2" and the passenger seat is just a little too high for me. Guess I'll just have to buy another Camaro so neither of us has to ride in the passenger seat...

Ditto for the memory positions, since my wife and I are so different in height, the seat sits at complete opposite ends of its rails depending on driver.

Honestly, none of my passengers ever complained about it... They were all just excited to be in the car, lol...

We'll see once I get my car back, and the excitement wears off, if there is any complaining... and if so, I'll tell them to go buy their own Camaro

Anyone know if we could mod this ourselves? Like maybe buying a new base of the passenger seat or something? I don't mind it much, but it would be kind of nice if my wife could position the seat however she wanted it.

Seems to be that those of us with spouses that are 5'3" have an issue with the passenger seat height. I'm in that group as well.

My wife said the Camaro would be a fine road trip car, if it wasn't for the fact that she has a hard time seeing out from the passenger seat. No problems when she is in the driver's seat.

I thought about seeing if I could find/buy just the lower seat cushion/frame (not the back) of a 1LT/1SS driver's seat and swap that out with the passenger seat. Swapping out the entire seat isn't an option because of the airbag location. The only thing I have't figured out yet is how to deal with the passenger airbag sensor in the seat cushion. I'm pretty sure the driver's side seat cushion won't have that in it.

If GM does listen and adds a height adjustable passenger seat in the 2011 model, I'm paying to get one for my car.

That might not be such a good idea, I do not know if the "pusher block" in the seat that moves the occupant's pelvis away from the impact zone is identical for driver and passenger seats.

My wife commented on the passenger seat height to. I wonder if the bolts/studs would be long enough to put large washers or blocks of wood/aluminum to raise the seat. With the sensor wires in the seats now they would have to be long enough or you'd have add length to the wires. Do you think a 1/2 inch would be enough or are we talking about a couple of inches. My Camaro hasn't been delivered yet.

Wouldn't sweat it too much tbh. This complaint is generated from the sick mind of malcontents. We just HAVE to find something to complain about to keep us from worshipping our cars.

I do agree though, memory in the driver's seat and a fully adjustable passenger seat WOULD be great!! I have NO idea how my girlfriend will feel as she hasn't bothered to check one out yet - she's waiting for mine - and SO AM I!! Waiting....

I vote for memory settings for the driver's seat and outside mirrors. I'm 5'9" and my wife is 4'11". She thinks it's a royal pain to make adjustments to all of the controls and mirrors every time we swap drivers.

The passenger seat is a lesser concern for me, personally. I do think it's just plain dumb that it's a power seat, but not fully adjustable like the driver's seat.

When I drove my wife around for the first time in my SS her comment was:
"I won't be able to drive this car, I can't see out the windshield, the seats are too low"..
I'll just let her keep thinking that. lol

Coming soon to your Dealer to address the passenger seat issue, as well as being used on bumblebee stripe installers who put them on crooked or with bubbles:

Nope, the owner's manual states that it's manually adjustable, but it isn't. My wife sits on a pillow.
They prototyped this car for three years, I don't understand why someone didn't address this.
GM, Please make some kind of adaptor...I'm willing to pay for it, if it was available.
My one and only complaint with this car (actually my wife's complaint...I don't sit in the passenger seat)

Looks like I'm going to have to do something similar. Mine might cost more though because I'll have to find a black pillow case to go with it.
