My insider connections at GM headquarters have just informed me about the first officially sponsored Camaro to be released next July. It will be the official Caterpillar Camaro, featuring a twin turbo diesel truck motor, 6 20-inch rims, extra large tractor tires, and enough torque to tow a fully loaded semi 12 seconds in the quarter mile, although so far there have been real problems with controlling that torque in a straight line. The exhaust will operate like that of a truck and feature both side and upward exit as options. A stage 2 kit will come from GMPP featuring a nitrous oxide tune that will allow additional forced induction. Caterpillar is convinced that this will be the ultimate off-roading machine, sponsoring the first off the assembly line to be a competitor in demolition derbies and monster truck off-roading competitions. Expect to see the Camaro dominate both asphalt and dirt tracks next year.

This thread is intended to go on until production specs are released. That means that you should express your Camaro creativity here until then. Keep posting your "facts!"

Other Chevy Camaro Facts:

When the bogeyman goes to sleep every night, he checks his closet for the Chevy Camaro.

Outer space exists because its afraid to be on the same planet as the Chevy Camaro.

The Chevy Camaro will be admitted into statehood in 2009. It's state flower will be the Magnolia.

When a Chevy Camaro gets rained on, the Chevy Camaro doesn't get wet. The rain gets Chevy Camaroed.

When pictures of the Chevy Camaro were shown in France, the French surrendered to the Chevy Camaro just to be on the safe side.

Google won't search for Chevy Camaro because it knows you don't find Chevy Camaros. Chevy Camaros find you.

The original title for "Alien vs. Predator" was "Alien vs. Predator vs. Chevy Camaro." It was cancelled in preproduction, because film execs knew no one would pay 9 bucks to see a movie 14 seconds long.

The Earth rotates because of the Camaro

The Earth doesn't orbit the sun, the sun orbits the Camaro

And the state animal (don't even know if they have those) would be the Panther.

The Camaro was internally known as the panther before they chose an official name in the '60s. That's what the "" was for.

It will have this engine in it: http://people.bath.ac.uk/ccsshb/12cyl/

for the lazy:
Quote:
Some facts on the 14 cylinder version:
Total engine weight: 2300 tons (The crankshaft alone weighs 300 tons.)
Length: 89 feet
Height: 44 feet
Maximum power: 108,920 hp at 102 rpm
Maximum torque: 5,608,312 lb/ft at 102rpm

Each cylinder displaces 111,143 cubic inches (1820 liters) and produces 7780 horsepower. Total displacement comes out to 1,556,002 cubic inches (25,480 liters) for the fourteen cylinder version.
I mean, this thing is big enough to power the challanger... and will only make it weigh about %50 more!

Bumble Bee was built on Cybertron. He assumed the form of a Camaro, well 2 Camaros, while on Earth. Steve Saleen was on Earth when Bumble Bee was built, along with the rest of the Autobots and Decepticons. Therefore it is impossible for him to have built it. I will not comment on the Grand Prix portion of your post.

GM has decided to honor American soldiers overseas with its Desert Camo Camaro. The new version will feature a powerful tank motor, supplemented with an actual shotgun mounted to the swiveling passenger seat so that passengers will actually be calling the shotgun. The wheels will be replaced by tank treads and the paint will look like desert camoflague. It will be one sweet ride for the war-ravaged patriots who proudly serve America's interests overseas.

This is true. In fact, they are doing combat testing right now. However, due to the effectiveness of the camo, which uses new active light diffusing technology, no pictures or videos of the car are possible.

The Car actually raises up, and a flap comes open so when it eats ricers, it actually EATS ricers. It is powered by a Mr. Fusion, just like Doc Browns DeLorean, and gets 354 MPC (Miles per Civic)
