Engine Swap ;) info requested

Hey ppl am new here am a 1996 V6 camaro driver n i wanna swap the V6 to LS1 so does the LS1 fit in the 3.8 V6 body?? and how much does it cost? and wt parts need to b changed? thx alot

first off, you need the motor. if you can get it with the wiring and pcm it will be better cus the v-6 pcm will not work and the wiring harness will have to be spliced in some places. the price can vary depending on how much you can get the motor for. also if you can get a transmission with the motor it would benefit you also. as for swapping it out, it will fit in the engine bay tho you will need new motor mounts, also its a good idea to swap your front suspension as the v6's had a weaker setup than the v-8s.

as for dropping the motor

thx guyz and ya the suspension need to be changed coz of the heavier weight also but can u get me a range of the price.... i thought of getting half cut camaro from the junk yard n replace parts....n also i think the fuel pump n the rear axel should b replaced am not sure......is it a gd idea anyways?? i love the model n body i have thats why i wanna swap engine rather than getting a new one plus my interior is all changed soo is it a gd idea?? thx alot
