I DO like surprises! I'll just have to be surprised at the Fest, lol. It was below freezing here most of the week. They reported on the national news, our record lows, I think Wednesday. And the high was 8degrees It's been too cold for the snow to melt, and we had some gas shortages, so they shut down the schools, and some of the businesses. We were fortunate that we are on propane, and they just filled our tank the week before. RS used some of the down time to catch up some at work!

Ah, but to dream a little dream.....

I did hit the strip tonite, ran a 12.6 on my Mickey DR's still cant get any hook.
I guess that is not bad here, DA was at 4600 ft.

I guess the Boggart slicks are going to be ordered in the morning.

DRs don't hook with a gazzillion RWHP. I am shocked!

Don't forget to order glue. Make that screws or you'll be rim-spinning

That's pretty respectable for our DA and all. I hit our road course yesterday, and the weather was great!! It sure is nice to have a weekend like this after all that subzero crap!!!! Poor RS was fixing our broken pipe in the garage. :(
Meanwhile, I was detailing Camaros.....

Can't wait for C5 fest II. I'm looking forward to driving in lower altitude, and seeing all the other massively obsessed camaro lovers and it'll be great to hang out with such a large Lingenfelter gathering also!!!!

I just wish I could launch, instead of rolling off the line and feathering the throtle to keep from spinning. To tell the truth I have no idea what my car can run.

You had to throw in your track time...huh? This is the first time in about three months I have even moved my car. Naw.... I really am happy you guys get to play on that track...really I am not the least bit jealous.

How are your times coming down? You start timing your laps yet?

My lap times are definitely coming down. I didn't put a transponder on this past weekend because the temps are still a little cold and I didn't want to be tempted to push it too much. I know I've picked up a lot of speed going through the first 4 turns. I still need to work on the last 4 turns. Jim said he'd give me a tune up lesson when he gets back in town. The car definitely can go faster than I'm driving it right now!

What RPM's are you launching at? When I had the 3.70 gear my best launch was at 2800, a 1.75 60 ft time. I know it's going to be a little different now with the new gear and 18 inch wheels. I'll have to dial it in all over again.

We are having a small spring thaw here... warming up into the lower 40's!!! Woo Hoo!!

It's finally warm enough to melt some of the 4' snowbanks. Not that I can drive my car right now anyway.. It is still at the chassis shop getting the cage welded in.

Did you see that Weld wheels came out with a set of skinny's and rear wheels for a drag package? I would look into them for the Camaro instead of Bogart's. I believe they were 17's as well..

Also, If you are going to upgrade your brakes, make sure the new wheel set will clear the calipers, or you could be doing this ...
