Dex-Cool & Top ups

My 2010 A6 Camaro with 10K kilometers is slightly low on coolant.

I read that one should mix clean tap water with Dex-Cool at a ratio of 50/50.

Do I have to drain the existing coolant first or can I just add more to bring it above the "minimum" level?

You can just add more, perfectly fine. 50/50 mix with water.
This coolant is good for a recommended 100,000 miles (~161,000km), though I'd recommend to change it about half to 3/4 that mileage.
No need to drain it prior to that, unless of course you get the big mod bug!

just add what you need to top it off. you should be able to buy coolant thats already a 50-50 mix.

Please Never put Tap water or Hard water into your cooling system. Distilled water Only.

+1

Use Distilled Water or buy pre-mixed Dex Cool. Do not get the "compatible with all types" coolant. Trust me on this one.
