In May GMAC was only offering 7.99% on the Camaro. We hooked up with a Credit Union & got 5%.

GMAC rates are ranging from 5.9 - 12.9 (conventional) depending on what tier you're in.

5.25% credit union. You end up paying them around $6,000 to loan you money for 72 months. Thats after working out the car price.Uhg After paying the finance charges, and any extra warranty you add on, the car ends up being a $47,000 car

Glad i signed my papers today though lol

3.75 - me 457 retirement loan. Figured a Camaro was a better investment right now.

I assume my dealer offers GMAC financing so this is based on that assumption. I went in pre-approved and had a dealer's check from Randolph Brook CU (3.9%). The finance dude said what he could match it? So it's worth pressing for a lower APR if you're going to go with GMAC. I didn't take his offer since there was no incentive for me to switch.

GMAC does not have anything that can match a 3.9% chances are they are going with another credit union

Bentley78, If you are a USAA member, take proof of membership into the dealer and you are eligable for a $750 rebate on the Camaro. That is currently the only rebate available on the Camaro. Proof of membership can either be you last mailed statement from them or if you have your car insurance through them, the insurance card works too.

They will only take one incentive, went with my GMAC points as its more than the USAA $750, wish i could have used both.

That is 100% wrong. Some dealers are doing the USAA Discount as well as the GM CU Supplier Pricing discount.

You are right, just got off the phone with my dealer and they said no reason they cant take USAA incentive, only applies to ZR1. GMAC credit + USAA discount + No sales tax coming to Hawaii = Damn good deal!!!!!

The salesman that i origanally ordered from this past summer told me one or the other, of course he NO longer works there.

i didnt even have to bring it up to the Internet Sales Manager, he said; you have USAA right? well we can take another $750 off.

There are other discounts as well. There are Military, credit union member, college student etc. I just talked with GM yesterday about them. Check them out because it could mean a break of up to $1385.00 above the USAA discount.

GMAC's lowest rate available is 5.99 unless its a finance special on specific vehicles.
Better to use your credit union or someone like BofA or Wachovia.
Those saying they got 3.99 from GMAC are full of s**t because its not out there to get.

GMAC offered me 5.14? That was as of last week.
maybe region plays into the rate? I did just finish a loan with them too.
