SS Speedo in V6??

Is it possible to have an SS Speedometer in V6 if you change the speedometers out? would they still work right and provide accurate readings?

I need to look into this. I like the look of the SS gauges better. I'm sure that the gauges are driven by the ECM. If the output is the same (just RPM number) regardless of engine type, then it might work.
