question about towels

i read that 100% cotton towels, high end towels, were the best to dry, if you cut the edging off. well i got them in today and i thought they were going to be softer. their ultima 100% egyptian cotton loop white towels. It sounds like its high end, but just thought it would be softer. These sound ok to you guys?

I only use micro fiber towels on my cars. They are very soft. Check sites like autogeek, zaino ( very soft) adams polish has nice ones to. You can google any of these.

People seem to have their own preferences. I really like my micro fiber. I do have a high-end cotton one that works well too. I've read good and bad about both. But, I stick with the really good microfiber and have no swirls or scratches after 2 months of washing about every 3-4 days!

Best towel to dry your car is the Big Blue Waffle Weave Microfiber Drying towel and also using a leaf blower. To find out if your towel is the one to use on your ride try the CD test.

I'll only use 100% cotton, white, towels.

Previously, I used Field Crest/Cannon "Charisma" 100% cotton/white bath towels, which I found at Macy's. But they're no longer offered.

So, I'll be using the "Blond" towels offered by Zaino.

Using Zaino on the SS, when rinsing, I remove the hose nozzle, allowing the water to run over the surface, sheeting away 80/90% of the water. I follow up by folding the towel in half, laying it on the paint surface, and gently pulling it towards me. This removes any remaining water. I finish by carefully using a 'Rigid' shop vac to pull water from inside the sideview mirrors and around any lights.
