went to the track tonight

took my m6 ls3 to the track tonight and the best time i could get was a 13.13 @ 110.46 mph my problem is off of the line launching it i either spun the tires or had wheel hop how can i launch it and avoid wheel hop or spinning i was launching it in comp mode i was gonna try with t/c off butt after the burnout with it off seeing how easily the tires woud spin i turned comp mode bac on any suggestions on launching ?

blk 2ss 6spd with sunroof.
intake,tsp cam,full exhaust,pcmforless tune,trailing arms,toe rods. hopeing for 11.9 because my g/f said she will take the cam and the suspension back if not.

lower your rpm and repeat. make sure you're not side stepping the clutch too. jumping straight back off it at a low enough rpm allows for maybe a chirp but then you'll hook and book

oh yea, if comp mode works best for you record those times and go again and try a lot with comp mode off and get good at it. It takes practice

hey went to the track on fri, I have a 09 cobalt ss and a 10 camaro, I raced a 10 camaro, but traction at the track was bad, I ran a 13.7 he ran a 13.5, I had him by 2 cars off the lin

I was almost 106 mph he ran 111, no traction no matter what i did, the cobalt is bad ass but i do love my camaro, Its going to the track on Oct 16th for all day rent a track with friends, Need to know if 18 inch vette rims will work, want drag radials, any help would be nice thanks

You should post your time slip in the fastest 1/4 mile thread so it can be added. That's a good time with a real good trap speed.

I was able to see you make a couple passes at capitol. Traction definitely wasn't the best on friday but you seemed to do the best with what you had. You fared a little better than the other '10 that was there.

Your car had a nasty snarl coming from the exhaust but your exhaust looked stock. Did you change the headers?

I was having issues hooking on street tires myself with my '99 SS.

I didnt get it because it would not fit a maggie i dont have the maggie on yet but knew i was putting one on so i decided not to get it until they come out with one for a maggie

Get some track tires. A set of slicks from Nitto's, BFGoodrich, or MT. Best mod you can get if you are going to be running at the track often.
