Unique paint on IOM SS - Enjoy!

Ok well new paint,Stage 1 for the cosmetics is done the rest will come this winter. Like some, I have chosen to leave off the GFX chin piece off after much noodling just like it better without. The diecast was also painted to match. Enjoy!

Looks awesome...I would remove the chrome around the taillights with the blackout like that though.

Thanks, after seeing all the rally stripes (I originally wanted) I chose something different to make it stand out. The sun doesn't seem to want to play, but the black fads out more into the IOM in UV.

Ya, I know most like them taken out, but trying something different. Very easy fix if I want to change it.

it's gonna be really hard to find a well executed paint job, not matter what style you go with, that looks bad on an IOM Camaro...

To each his own, I feel that rally stripes are over done (no offense) and with three IOM SS cars in town I wanted something different. Not into the hockey stripes as much and the original bumblebee stripe is hard to pull off with the pointed nose and wasn't feeling it. Went to a cruise in last night for a show today and got a ton of not there today due to the weather. Your the first to not like it, but probably not the last no big deal I don't take it personal always take the good with the bad.

to each their own

this is what I did to my IOM. love your take on the " be different" approach. All of a sudden their were 5 IOM's in town. Pearl white modified "RS" stripe, painted grills, rear fascia and light bezels.

You misunderstood him because of his typo and jumble of double negatives. He means it will be hard to find an IOM Camaro that looks bad (as long as it's well executed). He means he likes it!

If I did then my bad just seems the way it read he wasn't a fan. Not that it is a bad thing I really don't get bent if someone says they don't like it .
I was a big fan of what he did, but then saw all the rally stripes and had to rethink what I wanted. If I misunderstood then on me. I opened my self up to the good, bad, and ugly.

Oh! I really, really like both cars posted here!

GrnMchin, I love how the stripe fades up top. That looks soooo good! I also like your decision to leave the front GFX piece off. It all definitely looks different but looks really good at the same time. (As a total side note, I was born and mostly raised in Olympia. Moved from there 7 years ago down to MS. I miss Western WA so much. I also lived in Tumwater, Federal Way and nasty Tacoma *gag*)

Currently living near Tumwater, but to bad the Olympia Brewery is done and been vacant for like 10 yrs :(. Not that I was a fan, but was sad to see it go (Local Politics). The weather here has been crap past few day and once the sun comes out the fade turns more orange . Will post a new pic once I get the chance. I have relatives in MS and LA. Small world.

Love the paint job. I like to see everyone making the car their own. I have considered just running the GFX chin spoiler. I haven't seen a car with chin GFX. Did you keep the chin GFX in case you decide to install it later?

At this time it's spoken for, but time will tell. I'm not going with the GM piece at this time, if I do one at all.

It was sad when Olympia Beer left the brewery and Miller came in. (It was Miller, wasn't it? For some reason that doesn't seem right but I can't think of what other company it might have been.) It really is to bad it's sat vacant for so long. The park down there is pretty though.

The only thing I don't miss about W. WA is the overcast, rainy days. The summers down here are really hot but the rest of the year has great temps and there are very, very few overcast days.
