I think it depends. If your dealer has an allocation and you are ordering the LS or LT models 8 weeks is a better estimate. If you are ordering an SS, it is probably going to be longer than that. They have a constraint on SS's and are reducing production down to 55% of capacity for SS's, at least that is what is predicted currently, it could change, but at the current time it is going to take longer to get an SS. If your dealer does not have an allocation who knows, depends on how many they get a month and where you are on the waiting list.

general rule, was 4 months, ss's are at 40% production. they will now take longer than the 6 cyl. however i have seen demand starting to subside. 3 months ago my dealer had 10 people waiting in line to place orders. he now only has one in waiting(me). it is an ss. he is waitning on an allocation for it. I ordered on 7-7-09. on friday 9-4 he ordered a 6cyl for the stock on the lot.

rkmcmd4 - I'm with Thrillz. I would be pissed if they used an allocation to put in the V-6 order. I had my SS order picked up on 9/3, so it is not like they are not accepting orders. I know they are limiting the cars, but if he had an allocation he should have put yours in.

I am in the same boat...Mine has been in the rail yard now for a week. I sure hope it gets here before 3 weeks.... I sold my SSR a little over a week ago and the bumming a ride crap is getting old very quickly. I was told it would be here at the end of last week, but that has now gone and passed... I asked the dealer if we could go get it and he did not know if that was possible. He knew you could go and pick up a Corvette at the Corvette museum, but he did not know about the Camaro... It is in a rail yard about two hours from my house.... Does anyone know if a pickup at the rail yard is a possibility????

I am in the same boat...dealer has an allocation (order placed on 6/24, I was 11th in line) but doesn't have an allocation for an SS (which I ordered) so I sit waiting. The dealer called me Friday and said my order went in. He had no clue about the SS constraint until I went down there today. Low and behold, I was still sitting at 1100 :-( MAJORLY frustrating, especially after waiting 11 weeks for an allocation. More allocations on 9/10, hopefully for an SS. I am hearing the constraint is due to a supply issue with the Brembo brakes but I cannot confirm.

I think the brakes sound like a better excuse for the constraint because the SS has two different V8's depending on if you get the auto or manual trans. I can't see both the LS3 and L99 being hard to come by, may be the LS3.

I waited allmost exactly 3 months, wasn't effected by the
6 speed Man constraint or the current SS constraint
3 of the 12 weeks the car sat in the railyard waiting for
transport The dealer said they won't load up
with less than a full load going to a specific location
I think they carry about 10 to 12 cars depending
on the model but he said your dealer will be notified when
it reaches rail ramp unload, which means it is going on the truck
took me 3 days after that point to pick mine up
It is well worth waiting for, believe me I have owned one
Camaro from each generation, and this is by far the best
they have ever produced

It may be a little longer seeing your from guam. They would have to ship it by boat, so can't say for sure. Luckily Guam is U.S. Territory so dont have to worry about export or anything.
