Though I'm sure someone will want these and some don't, I prefer not to. I don't have them on my 2005 Silverado Crew Cab and seems fine to park. My 2000 Camaro is much easier to park so I would assume it would be about the same for this model. It wouldn't be a deal breaker, but it's another plus for my future 1SS.

I have no problem parking my 98 either but the 2010 is a bit more difficult. I'm sure, as with any car, the longer people own their vehicle the easier it becomes to park.

Wait until your neighbors 3 year old peddles behind you while you're backing out of the driveway!

I'm not crazy about the looks of them either....BUT, had all the Camaros from day one in April had them, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. I doubt that anyone pre-ordering last winter would have cancelled thier order when they found out the car was being made with back up sensors....just sayin....

Reckless Reverse

Anyway, I've only had my Baby since Saturday (9/5/09) and am still NOT used to judging the rear

They look typical of the backup sensors and glad they matched the paint color.

I may not be a big fan of how they look, but I am a huge fan of how they work! Some of you may not be a fan because you don't have the car yet, but there are some real blind spots in this car and this feature comes in real handy when trying to parallel park in a busy city like Chicago. I can't stand the ugly look of "bumper braille" found on cars who need to parallel park all of the time. ( That's when the front and rear plastic bumpers are all scratched up from hitting the other car's bumper when trying to parallel park!")

Nope... now you can just get your "bumper braille" direct from the factory

the sensors don't look bad at all...I just ordered my ride and I think the sensors are included with the 2LT, which is the one I ordered. I will have to check my paperwork to make sure tho!

Somewhere in America or Canada there will be a child riding their tricycle or Big Wheel on the driveway. A parent will back-up, run over and kill their child. It may happen today, tomorrow, next week, but it WILL happen and it has happened in the past.
Ask the parent of that child how they feel about back-up sensors that spoiled the look of your bumper. Oh, you could always tell yourself or that parent "I`m carefull and always look behind my car before backing-up" and yes you probably are that safe but so was the parent of that child.
It`s your choice, a blemish on your bumper or a possibly dead child on your conscience.
I can live with the blemish but never the child`s death.

TOTALLY AGREE. the sides is the worst part. when i'm changing lanes or something THOSE blind spots are the worst ones.

but they DIDN'T so that's a moot point. we have seen what it looks like without them and what it could look like on vehicles like the cadillac (CTS? i think) and this looks worse. i'm sure i'll get over it when i get my car and no one is going to think my car is ugly because of them, but it's still frustrating to know that they could have been done much better and made less noticeable, and weren't!
