THis may sound stupid but I know nothing about subs. I'm asking because I was considering doing 2 10" stealth boxes, one on each side. How would this compare to a single 12"? Louder? Lower? Tighter? Sorry, this is starting to sound like porn.
4th gens were a hatch design, meaning you had nothing to deaden the sound between you and the sub in the back. In the 5th gen you will need a bit more bass to sound the same to the driver's ears. Find a reputable audio shop in your area and spend some time talking to them. They will be able to recommend the right solution for you.

Subscribed. That's exactly the type of box I've been wanting. Though about building one myself but I suck at that.

The factory amp is used for the speakers in the car. You would need to purchase a seperate amp to power the sub.

I'd like to know if you are going to stop at the drivers side box or are you going to offer a passenger side box as well. I have a 10"JL W3v2 sitting in my closet...just collecting dust. And, I'd love to pick up just the box for the passenger side.

cool... i can finally use that 1000w amp that's been sitting in the garage for the past 4.5 years hahahah had it in the wife's 350z until we traded it in 2005... the speakers we had for it are also in the garage, but I'm sure they won't hold up much longer.

This is pretty cool . I have a box in the utility closet with 2 JL 12w6's just collecting dust and 3 amps (JL) from my old Civic ...I would like the box only, I got the power to push it.

Can I get the box only

Good job on this ... looks very clean and thats the ticket there
