Eibach Pro 1" lowering springs

Has anyone here used these Eibach Pro #38144.140 springs to lower the ZL1?

I was cleaning my garage out and I just found this box with the Eibach springs in them. I forgot I had them on my V6 Camaro when I installed the 1LE suspension. I de-modded the V6 but I guess I never sold the Eibach springs...

http://eibach.com/m-america/en/eibac...012-13-pro-kit

They worked great on my V6+1LE suspension car. Just curious what you guys think about them on the ZL1.

I would expect the back springs to be ok but the front would sit too low.

I think that you should research what else goes into lowering these cars. I read somewhere there's something to do with the shocks or sensors or something like that doesn't really work right with lowering springs. The car looks and handles amazing from the factory. Why mess with a good thing? Plus speed bumps and rough road surfaces. To me it's a bad idea.

I have had these on my car for nearly 2 years now and do not regret it at all. They reduce the wheel gap and make the car stance much more aggressive. The ride is stiffer but still comfortable. They work well with the magnetic ride with no problems.

They only issue during installation is the shock electrical connections. There are threads somewhere on this site on how to deal with it.

Why do you say this? Because of the extra weight the ZL1 has upfront due to the S/C? The Eibach site dose say these springs are for the ZL1.....

Sweet. Do you have any pictures you can post? I'd love to see the stance.

Well thank you for your suggestions but I have been reading up on this for almost a year. I think your wrong in that lowering a car with MRC will not work. I know there are sensors and ride height sensor on the suspension but I'm beginning to believe that Chevy built some tolerances into the programing to allow for different ride heights. In fact the new 6th Gen Camaro with MRC will so have a factory lowering kit available. And I track my car 4-6 times a year so your comment about ride quality are not valid in my case. I'm looking to gain performance around the track. A little decrease in ride quality on the road I could care less about.

Thanks for your feedback. I remember seeing that thread somewhere about the sensors......you don't happen to have the link do you?

I used Eibach springs on my ZL1 and was pleased with the results. On a ZL1 they are not exactly 1"...more like 3/4" or so. On an SS they are most likely 1" drop.

Here you go...how to unpin the rear shocks.

That is about the limit that you want to lower for road course work. Keeps the camber curve in check. Lower than that I would consider it compromised for looks, and less than ideal for track work. It is all about the geometry.
