It looks tall because of the side of the car being so tall and the windows/roof are much shorter in comparison. Thank the wonderful government for side impact standards that require such tall sides to pass crash tests.

It looks 'furry' because it's essentially Sears Weather Beater paint -- put on with a roller -- so that it looks like a faux finished wall.........

subtle...Hahaha, Someone sdd that one to the 'facts' thread, will you?

Be nice to shunt while you've got him in captivity, Scott. I'm sure he'd love to lay about in that awfully roomy and comfortable interior.

Fold down rear seat - is this new to just me, or everybody? If its new, is it what he was letting out of the bag?

You know, that tint looks mighty dark - we may have to confiscate these cars for further inspection of the tint level.

Can't be driving around with tinted windows darker than the legal limit, you know

I was trying to think of the best word to use....and "furry" was pretty much exactly how it looked. It wasn't a hard shift in paint from black to white, but had stringy stuff in the white paint! So it was roller painted on! no kidding!!

Haha, only one person fits that description, and you're right -- Jason's not only well respected in the vette world, but well respected on our site regardless of him not owning an fbody. He brought the Katech LS7 Camaro to our show two years in a row and it was the show stopper whenever he started it up. Jason's a good guy though, he hangs out with us on Woodward quite often.
Yup! That's "the guy" with "the thing" I was talking about.

BTW, that "thing" later made a best-pass of 10.85!!! WOW. (as far as I know, it may have been better than that).

it's a small world, indeed.

Sorry I don't live in Chicago anymore, it'd be much more practical to take a puddle-jumper to these events in your part of the world.

Kudos to you, Jason, Scott, and all the other "car freaks" unmentioned that make these forums the best place to be for "the rest of us."

Honestly, I'm less concerned with the production headlights than I am with the production foglights.

Actually in Michigan you can only have 35% 4" down on the drivers and passenger front windows. You can have the rear side and back as dark as you want though.

What's wrong with the foglights that are on there now? They look just like the ones on my wife's G8 and they are BRIGHT and really fill in up close and to the sides.

I just don't like them that much. I'd rather order one without fog lights and put my own lights on where I want them -- inset a bit more, like on the 3rd gen IROCs or on the 69.
- Xanthos

P.S. -- Its not the light itself that I don't like, its the placement.

If they're like the G8 you'll REALLY like where they are when you turn them on. I like fogs low and to the outside as long as they're not farther outsided than the headlights like on Grand Prixs. They just look weird.

Scott said pass through, not fold down seat. It could just be a center pass-through.

These photos are beautiful.

But it's not surprising, considering what's on them
