Won't make any performance difference on the street unless he does the twisties in some spirited driving in which case the front brakes heat up first and the quickest. If he does HPDE, autocross or any kind of road racing that vent WILL help keep the front brakes cooler.
I will have screen in them also. I will have pics of them painted and with the screen installed also by sun night.
I will also be running alot of the "twisties" with the car and HPDE,Autocross with it for sure. I miss my acura RSX supercharged i used to do that with.

If they are front vents then yes you are right, about 70-75% of braking is done with the front brakes. I was under the impression that these were rear fender vents replacing the fender gills.
Fenders are in the front, and quarter panels are in the back.

But I still would not let dirty tire water shoot up the side of my car unless you like sandpaper when you go to rub it off.

I guess you don't drive in the rain???? Same thing. Water won't come through unless you cut a hole in your fender liner to make them fully functional !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any ideas why GM wouldn't have made the rears functional? I can't imagine it would have been all that expecsive to do?

I was going to ask you that!! Mostly because the body parts do not come painted when you order them correct? I noticed you had primed and painted and coated after everything was done.
Looking forward to the finished product!

I will be making them but it won't be in a kit form. They are original fenders with the vents cut in and welded up then finished off. I have a few sets coming in from the dealer.
