He hasn't changed color...that's part of his "sunfire" paint job. It shifts colors depending on the lighting. You can find pictures from the set of the last movie where he also looked orange.

I like the new hood but not the new front end.
Is it just me or does the front end look shorter than it was before?
The front wheel doesn't look like it is placed correctly to me.

I'm thinking they did this for a CGI special effect to be added later???

What you're seeing is the brake rotors in the space where there's no spoke. The spokes are the dark areas where you can't see the rotors. The spokes are chrome and are reflecting the dark road or some other surface so they don't stand out. I think if you look at the lugnuts and imagine the spokes radiating out from each lug you will see what I mean.

Everybody can stop worrying about the front of the car in that pic.
It's PURE camera angles, and I can prove it:

I sure hope Bumblebee didn't develop Scoliosis. 'Cause as far as I know, cars don't curve quite like that...

Check the wheels in this pic, the only difference is the HUGE brake rotors (I picked a small one on purpose, that way theres not muge detail to see, just like the blurriness of the BB pics)

Aah. I don't like the body kit thing. Nor the rims.

I love the hood, the chin spoiler and the overall appearance of the front end. It just looks like it wants to kick some a$$.

Why does the driver have black gloves on? Maybe it's Scott and he just moved Shunt into BB's trunk?

-1 for the red outline on the chevy badge... very monte carlo/impala/lumina van. The gold centre and chrome is *much* nicer IMHO...

Love the hood and wheels but I'm up in the air on the front fascia (looks very ricer)... It's growing on me...

The hood scoop is similar to a 4th gen SS. Prolly for looks only.

The front aero splitter screams ZR1 Vette. The brake rotors appear to be stock Z06 Vette rotors.

As for the large openings in the front bumper area, I'd bet they are there for some "movie magic" -- meaning that BB has "something" new that those openings facilitate.

It's, very simply, a "mash-up" of design elements for the movie, ONLY.

I'd be surprised if a production SS/Z28/Whatever had the same features. Thats just me.

HOWEVER -- I am very concerned about the puny brake rotors and calipers we have seen so far. I'd like the top dawg to have some SERIOUS rotors and calipers. It's going to need them.

Those aren't rotors. They are brake dust covers. Note the absence of any calipers. I like the wheels and the hood, but as posted earlier...I hope the front end facilitates some weapons or something, because to me it looks hideous.

Maybe I'm wrong, but bumblebee seems to be still based on the concept and not on the pre pro car (mirrors, tail, spoiler ...)

I've got it....okay, there's only one hole in this theory (color), but that could be taken care of pretty easily.....

This isn't Bumblebee....it's for the new Knight Rider series.

- They realized they screwed up making KITT a Mustang.
- The "red" we are seeing on the bow tie isn't so much an outline as it is a glow from the pulsating light that "sweeps" across the emblem.
- The "new" hood, facia, splitter, and even wheels are for the "attack" mode of KITT, not the normal mode (Note, unlike the 'Stang, all they had to do to make the attack mode of the Camaro was give it a splitter for high speed stability, a bigger hood scoop and front facia brake ducts for more airflow, not all that other crap that they needed on the Ford...lol)
- The color could even be part of KITT's camouflage thing, they just used the Bumblebee color as a tribute to the "original" on-screen 5th Gen hero.
-The other cars in the pictures are just the "extras" that GM gave them for the show. It's a little surprising that they would show off a brand new concept or two in a probably-going-to-get-axed-after-a-couple-episodes TV show, but whatever.

I think that's it....this is KITT.

Phew.

Okay, back to reality...like I said, I think the front end gives it too much of a ricer look. That could change with color, lighting, or even different angles. Maybe it will grow on me, especially when I see one in person, but for right now, I hope that isn't the front end they're going with.

I like the concept drawing above for the hood; kinda' goes back to the 4th. Gen. style. I think that would be very nice too.
