Official PDIM accessory from GM - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I just got the PDIM today (#92244580). As you can see it comes with the harness that is needed to connect the PDIM. There's no way I could I have made this harness to install the PDIM I bought off ebay (http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43733). I also grabbed a picture of the PDIM accessory vs. a PDIM pulled from a 2SS. I plan to install it either tonight or tomorrow.

So they are different, I suspect one has bluetooth and the other doesn't....

No, they are the same. The model number is the same (which almost guarantees it) and the FCC ID is the same (which completely guarantees it). You can see the bluetooth logo on the top right corner so it definitely has bluetooth as well (in addition to the FCC ID guaranteeing it).

also what are the two different #'s? (3388, 0958) initially I thought they were part #'s

Well it looks like this might not be a DIY after all. I reviewed the install instructions and it states that the radio needs to be programmed by a Service Programming System (SPS-TIS2WEB or equivalent).

I'm going to install and see what happens when I power it up.

You will be able to do A2DP streaming for music. You will not be able to use it for hands free calling.

Not sure what those numbers are, they very well may be "part numbers". But the actual item is the KTB LS. From the FCC info, there's a KTB LS and KTB MS. I don't know what the difference is except for a chip in a slightly different place on one and an added component connected to that chip.

Maybe someone who has the PDIM out of their car could take it apart and tell me what the numbers on that chip are? Maybe the KTB MS is the one with more ram that could (with the right software) go past the 2500 song limit? Although the chip doesn't look like your typical ram chip. Not sure what it is.

Hmmmmm. Thats silly, why not keep the phone pairing option also.

Is it a FACT that the module doesnt add bluetooth phone integration? I don't think we'll know for sure until someone completes the install of this PDIM module.

The bluetooth phone stuff is integrated into the OnStar module. The only profile that is implemented in the PDIM is A2DP. There is no microphone hooked up to the PDIM module.

It most likely will be, if you refer to post 9, the unit needs to be programmed once the PDIM is installed.

Daewoo is owned by GM. Pretty sure the software/integration was done by GM engineers in Detroit. I would hope that the head unit doesn't have to be updated and that's just precautionary. Has anyone tried?

S&T Daewoo is not owned by GM, GM only has a majority stake in GM Daewoo.

Unfortunately updating the head unit will not fix the problems with the connections and pairing people are having. The software/hardware of the PDIM is at issue for those types of issues.
