Looks nice! Is this just a knob? Pressure fit or is there another method of securing it to the stick?

hey guys ,

sorry for not responding sooner...

the shift knobs are in stock i have about 25 of them run and working on another batch now.

they have a tapered bore to match the oem stalk and also have a locking screw at the base to tighten it down so it wont move.

they are actually 3 separate machined pieces and VERY high quality in looks and feel. we have been making this knob for the Viper market for about 12 years now.

they are 75.00 plus shipping

you can order by calling our sales line at 706-793-1770

Will this knob fit on the Hurst shifter? It is 3/8" - 16 thread. BTW, one great looking knob.

it will not fit the hurst threaded shaft but it will fit the adapter i am sure that the hurst comes with since it was designed to fit to stock oem knob and so is this shift knob.

i will warn you and htis is NOT a slam on the hurst shifter as i honestly do not have ANY idea if it will be an issue but this style knob does have to have a fairly vibration free setting as it may buzz if the shifter has any type of ratlting issues.

AGAIN>>>> i am NOT saying the hurst unit will make any noise i am just saying that in OTHER car applications i.e mustang corvette etc. we have found that some aftermarket shifters make these knobs buzz .

George. I agree with you I know the shift pattern. Whoops most of the time, missed 2nd to 3rd shift at Street Legals. LOL Can't wait for your new shifter.

That's what Chevrolet should have used in the first place. I like it. But I'm putting the Hurst in mine. Ordered it with the black ball with a big "H" on it. I do like this one though.

OK...time to put a 5th Gen with a link to the info on your site.

I'm sold....I'll be ordering one as soon as my car gets picked up by GM to build.

So...the shifter is approx $375 and then the SS race knob is another $75? So I need to budget about $500 with shipping?

Nice....

So...are all the knobs $75?

Also, what is the race knob made from? Is that a rubber or like a leather material?

the plastic ball knobs are 45 dollars but require a different handle mount for the shifter and the handles are 25.00 so the setup is 70.00.

this bracket will allow you to mount ANY 12mm billet knob on your shifter though and if you NEVER intend to use the stock knob you can just order the shifter with this bracket instead of the oem fit bracket and you dont pay the 25.00 dollars for the bracket.

george

the race knob is actually a zytel polymer delrin blend like m16/ar15 butt stocks are made of

What do you mean by "resembles the steerling wheel?" While I love the shift knob, I don't see the comparison...thanks.
