Ok everyone,

I just got the OK from management to make you guys a special offer.

We're currently offering our Stillen Metal Matrix high performance street pads for free with purchase of Stillen 1 piece Sport Rotors through Jan 15. Those of you that have pre-ordered rotors from me will be getting them automatically added to the order at no charge.

I know a lot of you like the Hawk HPS pads, so i'm making a special offer to Camaro5 members only. From now through Friday Jan 15 @5pm PST, you can upgrade the free Stillen pads to Hawk HPS pads for the difference in cost ($49.98 front and $59.83 rear).

You have to call me to get this deal....it is not available on our website. Retail customers only...wholesale does not qualify.

I've also got AP Racing and Motul RBF600 brake fluid, and Goodridge SS lines available if you want to upgrade them while you've got it apart to change the rotors.

I bet you $1,000,000 and your Car that they're not made in the USA.

And good luck to you, hopefully your RB's don't turn out like this guys RB rotors.

So...........to summarize what I believe has already been talked about..........

If I want to improve the stopping power of my OEM brembos for everyday street use without dropping some serious coin on rotor/caliper upgrades..............

The consensus is: Add steel braided brake lines, and new pads?

What type of steel braided lines? What company makes them, how much do they cost? What type of pads? How much do they cost?

Short answer...Yes. You will want to add high quality brake fluid also....AP Racing or Motul.

I carry the best...Goodridge SS lines. Give me a call, and we can discuss the right pads for you.....there are several great options out there.

I'm glad to see you guys doing your homework. I can't say with 100% certainty, but I would be VERY surprised if these were US made.

This means a substantially higher investment from Stillen now, with the result being a much higher quality finished product. We could have come to market a bit faster and for a bit less $ using the other casting style but the product wouldn't be as good, and that wasn't an acceptable compromise to us.

I'll get a quote together for you and send you a PM.

Here's a link to their manufacturing. They do their own castings.
http://www.racingbrake.com/v/main/manufacturing.asp

You can't tell the whole story from a picture. How do you know that car didn't slide into something and break the wheel and rotor. To many unknowns to blame it on the manufacturer.

Bobby Fischer, Cadillac CTS-V racer as well as other famous racers use these rotors on their cars and swear by them.

They don't just drill the slots. The slots are machined all the way through to
the venting. Here's a link with comparisons to slotted vs. drilled vs. open slots.

Still at it with your tired old vendetta against RacingBrake? This is your first and only post in this forum under this name which you obviously created just so you could trot out that old grudge.

I have the RB rotors on my car and they are fantastic. I've been to their facility, spent time with them and they are a top-notch, first rate company. They are well-known and respected and their products are too.

Just to clarify, per the RB website they sub out their casting and machining. There's nothing wrong with that....just wanted to make a note.

http://www.racingbrake.com/v/main/faq.asp

From RacingBrake FAQ:

Is RacingBrake a distributor or manufacturer?

RacingBrake goes beyond that question; we are a brake system integrator. We subcontract our casting and machining to partner companies under our specifications just like original equipment manufacturers do. Parts are received, inspected, assembled, tested and packaged here in our facility in Fullerton, CA.

LOL, As Dan from Stillen alluded too, you people are misinformed about RB. They're not made in the USA and they aren't technically the manufacturer as Dan pointed too.

I have no vendetta against RB. There is nothing wrong about posting a company's failures on a forum. If you're only here to praise them and kiss their ass, that's fine but keep an open mind, no comapny is perfect. But the proof is in the pudding, they have some history of failures.

I've looked at their website, looks like they have only a few people who actually use their products in competitions. But that's so miniscule compared to the amount of success Stoptech, AP Racing, Performance Friction and Brembo have.

And really, you put on ugly yellow rims on your dark blue Camaro? That is hideous, but that's my opinion.

You have 2 posts in this forum which have nothing to do with Camaros but just bash RB and we're supposed to believe you don't have a vendetta? You quite obviously have a vendetta "Brandon", "Ken" or whatever you keep changing your name to in order to pretend somebody besides you has a grudge against RB. Why don't you talk to them if you're so "concerned" about their products? Oh wait, you already have...as a disgruntled ex-employee. Keep attacking them here and maybe you'll get banned from this forum too like every other forum you've attacked them in.

And if you think my car looks "hideous, tell these guys how "hideous" the blue and yellow/gold color scheme is and see if anybody cares about your "opinion".
