I have about 16k miles on mine now and they are half way worn... keep in mind what i mean by that...
new Pirelli Pzeros measure at 10/32nds mine are at a bout 4-5/32nds. typically when the tires get down to 2 or 3/32nds you must be very careful in the rain..... i'd say normal driving you will get about 25k maybe more if its mostly highway... but I crive pretty hard on my car... daily!

Sounds like the main killer than for you would be the difference in gas and probably the payments as well.... also if you catch any mod fever which has been going around on this forum a lot you might go broke haha
Decent tires though for these cars can be had for the same 800 or so a set...
Good Luck

Welcome to the site.

Check out the fest in Indy in August. Drag racing, auto cross and a helluva parking lot party a couple nights.

if my plans would have stuck i would be in a camaro, but since my daily was totaled id have to DD the camaro, and i wouldnt want to drive it with tires at $400 a piece. my parents owned subies in the 80's until they sold it when i was like 12. it was the only car i could think of that i was interested in

I don't know a thing about Subaru.

I do know you can make ANYTHING fast if you want.

Yup. I'm running some 200.00 tires that grip better than the stock tires.

Hey John, Just saw this thread while cruzin the forum. You and I met back in Oct 2010 at Talledaga that Sunday during the course runs. I also sent you a picture I took from behind you while we were getting ready to go on the track. Since then I have purchased a 2012 ZL1 and would absolutely love to take that to the track and redo what occured that day.
Take Care,
Glenn
