Thumbs up Rim/Wheel Damage? Solution Available!!!

Okay, now that everything is good, I'll share my story:

I was driving down the street and need to make a right turn. The next thing that happens is that the front-right of the car jumps up and I hear a tremendous thud. I get out to inspect and I find the following :

Just my luck!!! :upset:

Where the heck was I going to find a place to fix this that wouldn't charge me an arm and a leg? I started the hunt online and found the following place :

I called the Orange County phone number and spoke to Devin. He said he would give my info to his brother. They quoted a really good price (less than $100) so I decided to give them a shot. They said they would come to where I work and that was another plus for me.

Spencer, the tech that came out was really friendly and began to complement my car. He inspected the rim and said that it was something they could do. He began his work around 2:15 pm, didnt remove the tire at all. At 2:50 he calls me and tells me that he is done. I'm thinking, "how the heck is it going to look?" I see this:

WHAT?!?!? It looked like nothing had ever happened! Spencer even cleaned all of my rims as well.

I have to give a BIG THANK YOU to Devin, Spencer, and Dr. Wheel for their great service and excellent pricing

If any of you have any damage to your rims, give them a call, ask for either Devin or Spencer and tell them that Miguel referred you to them.

wow! VERY NICE! I think I got to do that to my mustang rims. Its has lots of messed up areas.... but I think that will cost me LOTS of money to fix it all.... But great to hear that everything is back to normal again

He did everything on site, but I honestly have no idea what or how he did it. He did mention that he needed to match the paint, he must have spray painted it when he got the right color. Have I mentioned how amazed I am (tribone?)?!?!?!?

Believe me, an inch makes a difference

I could have lived with the damage to the rim, but after seeing what they do, I'm glad I got it done. I'm keeping their business card handy in case I decide to hit another curb

I'll be calling them again cuz for some miracle of our divine Lord, the left side rim is scratched up a bit as well. I may have some enemies that I do not know of, or some punk ass kids in my neighborhood have nothing better to do. I'll tell you guys this, somebody's gonna get their ass kicked...once I find out who it is I mean.

At any rate, I'm glad that everybody will find some benefit from my bad luck. We're all here to help each other, right?

Awesome. I did something similar and scratched my rear passenger side up. I'll likely be sending him some business as well.

It's actually pretty cool to watch them work.. They basically re-surface the wheel with an angle grinder; mix some paint, airbrush and blend the damaged area. TA DA done deal. I was ready to pay $480 for a new wheel, but a buddy of mine turned me on to this thread a few months back, so I bookmarked it . This thread saved me $405... I'm pretty stoked about that.
