SpohnPerformance, I am interested as well. Can you provide any information on what is required to replace these? Is there an install video or instructions that can be downloaded?

Also pharmd has asked a very good question below that we all need to know. Some are trying to plan for the overall driveline. Do you have any ideas on this?

OK Not to be a hater but are you f-n crazy? 1850 bucks for axles?? (How much of a discount is this buy? It better be huge.) I had a fully built rearend for a Mustang that cost me that.... for a whole rear end. My rear end was designed for over 1000HP and included gears, center section, axles, new housing, etc. Heck that even included installation. I beat on that rear with slicks and 5000 rpm launches for years on a 9 second car and it held up.

Guys do a little checking this might be some nice kit but for that price it better be life-time warranty and some really fancy stickers. (Heck my 31 spline mouser axles were life-time warranty and cost 400 bucks.)

I know we are talking axles with CV Vs a live axle setup but this is insane $$$. I really want to upgrade my axles but at that price I am going to wait till something more reasonable comes along because as popular as these cars are someone will release a more reasonable priced product.

If you do not think this is pricey then why is the Camaro part 50 bucks more than the G8 part. They are mechanically almost the same car.

Prices for the axles are $1850.00 to as high as $2100.00 for this car..

You can stay with the stock ones.

I have almost 200 HP more than stock and want piece of mind at the racetrack. Especially if I add more power... which will be likely.

Installation would be by the service manual as they are a 100% direct replacement, there's no mods, etc. required.

As for the strength of the center section it's too early to say. We have a customer running low 9's with a G8 and his center section is still doing fine. I'm sure the aftermarket will be all over the center section/gear market soon enough, we just have to be patient.

I do not have a service manual, so will I need to buy one from GM? If so do you have any idea on the part number and the cost? Or are you saying I need to take it to the dealer? Will the rear need to be re-aligned?

I had heard that it was the cv joints that were failing on the stock axle setups. Your using different joints. How much larger, better material, better design than stock are they??

"108mm Porsche style CV's and bolt on chrome moly inner and outer stubs"
