Can I put my car cover on or not?

Just picked up my car on Friday and I ordered the factory cover. Like many have stated here, I saw a note on the inside od the box that states not to put on car car that has been painted within the past 3 months. The sales guy said that it is ok and to ignore that becuase the paint is baked at 200 degrees, but I don't know if I want to take his word. Are there any guys that know anything about paint out there? Would I be ok?

for starters, WHAT THE HELL DOES YOUR SALES GUY KNOW ABOUT IT, HE'S A SALES GUY!!!? since there is a warning with your cover, I personally would adhere to it. For the simple reason if something was to go wrong, you are covered. And just for the sake of saying it, if you have never used or had a car cover before, whatever you do, never put it on a dirty car.

its okay to cover it. what people are saying about not covering fresh paint is a car painted by your auto-body shop. Shops bake the cars at a bit over 100º and that is not enough to fully harden/cure the paint and they tell you to wait a couple of months to allow the paint to fully cure before you wax it. No, they can't bake them as high as the factory because electrical wires, components, will be toast! In the factory, the car is only a painted shell so they are able to bake at 300º.
