Need some advice with 78 front brakes

While i was on leave back home my dad and i replaced almost the entire rear brakes.
heres some pics:

and yes, i had been driving this car for over a year with the breaks like this. glad the fronts worked good enough.

What i need help with is what to do with the fronts now.
The parts we used on the rear were ones my dad has had since before 94'.

What brand of parts would be best to use for the front brakes. Im going to be replacing basically everything.

Did you replace the emergency brake cable at the rear? I would if I were you. I bet you a doughnut the cable was sticking.

You will want to get some rebuilt calipers and probably some pins. The hoses are a good idea at this time at this time. The master cylinder might be still functional but they are cheap to replace and you already have the system apart so give that some consideration. Turn the rotors if they are still within spec. There isn't any sense replacing them if they are still serviceable. The bearings and seals - I am on the fence here. The bearings you can get today are not as good as the originals in my opinion so if the bearings look good enough you can just clean and repack them. Get a new National Oil Seal grease seal and a handfull of cotter pins while you are at it. Pads - just get some organic pads, I think the number id D-52 but it has been a long time.

Do not give back the cores untill the job is done and the brakes work as intended. This will help you to ID a problem if the parts are wrong in some way. JMO.

Hope this helps.

-Mark.
