How-To: Install BFxenon HID Headlights (Non-RS)
How-To: Install BFxenon Bi-Xenon HID lights
When installing BFxenon HID lights, for your safety, please remember to remove the battery terminal / negative lead to the battery before connecting any high voltage parts. ![]() Step 1: Remove factory lights from the factory housing Step 2: Install HID bulb or Locking clip (on some applications) by lining up the channel locks, pushing it into the housing, and twisting. ![]() ![]() Step 3: Run the wiring harness to both sides for measuring purpose Step 4: Connect the female terminals on the harness to the ballast ![]() Step 5: Connect the small trigger wire from the harness to the bulb and the positive and negative lead off the ballast to the bulb (see step 4 for picture) Step 6: Connect the OEM female headlight connector to the OEM style connector on the harness ![]() Step 7: Attach the ground wire and positive battery lead, re-attach the positive battery connection and turn everything on. This is just to ensure everything lights up properly before you secure the ballasts and wires. ![]() ![]() Step 8: Secure the HID ballast within the range of the wiring harness. Some recommended location are; firewall, cold air intake housing (if metal), radiator mounting brace, front bumper brace, etc. (Some of these may not be the best option for every vehicle) ![]() Step 9: Secure all the loose wiring away from any moving parts and out of the way of extreme heat. Step 10: Enjoy your BFxenon HID headlights! For more information or suggestions on how to make these instructions better, please contact: Sales@BFxenon.com Check your wiring: ![]()

No they will not
They lights are as illegal as window tint. Due to the fact these are coming in factory vehicles more and more, you are less likely to get pulled over for having HIDs unless you were to run something more than 8000K. Our bulbs keep the factory OEM focal points as to not generate as much glare as some of the other brands. Our lights are quite a bit brighter and the light they project is much more clear and plesant on the eyes. I would say they are more beneficial than dangerous! |

What brand are these lights?
So there are only 2 ballasts even though this does both high and low beam? Are the fog lights basically the same thing for install? Unplug the wiring, twist out the light, twist in the new one, re-attach wiring?

i guess some people are a little confused about installing HID kits on non HID equipped cars
ive had them on my 96 impala and 05 tahoe for years without a problem for my camaro, im gonna replace the factory HID's (which are about 4300K im guessing), to possibly a 6500K bulb when i get around to it. HID's give any car a distinctive characteristic at night. Gotta have those!

I have absolutely zero experience doing any electrical work on a vehicle like this so would you recommend me having them installed professionally or should it still be easy enough to DIM?

I would actually suggest trying it yourself before you take it to someone to get installed. Everything plugs in so there is almost nothing you can do wrong.
We have very knowledgable technical assistance if you are having trouble with the install. But, it is almost as easy as changing a light bulb. Literally! |

legality would be based on location and local regulatory laws. They are not legal in CA... neither is window tint. But you are almost never hassled for window tint if it is a moderate tint. Just like your lights... stick with a 6K or 8K and you should be fine

Can you then put the halo lights in after those. Or can you put halos in without even putting the HID lights

So which one should I get for a 1SS (non RS) car? I do not want something that will blind an oncoming car?

The Halo kits we sell are completely separate from the HID. So you can add them with or without the lights

If you do not have the RS package and you already have housings in the fog light holes, you will need this kit:

Ok that is for the Fogs but which one for the headlights? Will 6000k be good enough without blinding folks?

8000K seems to be easier on the eyes due to the slight hue of blue.
