Which is more important to you

It seems like a lot of people are getting caught up in the Z/28 name. I want to know what do you guys/girls REALLY want. Do you want a name? Do you want a striped down car with a big motor? Is money the deciding factor or is it just another factor? What is it that you really want?

This is what I would like from GM based off of the Camaro platform.

Slightly lowered stiffer suspension
LS9
Wider tires and rims
Larger cowl hood
Plain Jane appearance

Like this.

I dont see a option for me...... I would like to see LS3 with the option of having it basic(not stripped) or loaded, better suspension, lighter wheels, better brakes and a little more power via free flowing intake/exhaust/tune.

Where is that option?

The LS3 intake is pretty well designed right out of the box. The exhaust and tune are the only places they could make any noticeable gains without swapping engines.
I probably should have been a little more specific. Better suspension includes better brakes.

Im just playin around.... You could never be specific enough to cover everthing that people would want.... Your poll would have to be about 10 pages long by itself!

I am one of the guys that is stuck on a "middle ground" Z/28. I want it to have more power and better handling than the SS but I dont want it to be a SC monster either.... Thats why I vote for 2 more performance models!

You really think that you could pick up an LS9 engine in a Camaro Z28 for under let's say $60-70k?? It's in a $100+ Vette, why would they sell it in a $50k Camaro??

No answer??

I voted for the LS9, who in their right mind wouldn't lol...but does it honestly have a realistic chance of making it in. Seriously, honestly, realistically, whatever you want to say...that is a supercar engine, that is currently in a supercar. Would be freaking sweet if they put it in a Z28 but I mean come on. The Z28 is the next supercar for $50k or even $60k??

I would definitely buy one.

why loaded? If I were to buy this car it would not be for the ass heaters/vibrators, radio, sun-roof, and all that jazz, it'd be for RAW PWR and handles to rival porsches, ferraris, lambos, and whatever and exclusitivity! I wouldn't even care if it came without a radio. A/C and Heat are a must though. Everything else... who cares!?

There are a lot of factors that make the ZR1 cost $100+. Aluminum frame, carbon fiber body parts, Corvette name tag and magnetic suspension to name a few. This isn't about what the Camaro would cost, it's about what do you want on it. I have no idea how much a LS9 powered Camaro would cost but I would LOVE to find out! If I could get it for mid 50's I'd do whatever I had to do to get one.

That's why I put those options in there. If the only way you could get the motor you wanted was to buy the stripped down, high performance version, then I'd deal with the lack of options. I want an ass hauling machine!

Ha ha. It appears (so far) I'm the only voter for the LS3 stripped Camaro with better suspension. Not surprised!

Is this what I want in a Camaro or what I want in a Z28? My vision of a Z28 isn't on the list. LS7 striped with better suspension.

the poll is way too vague
stripped means?
loaded means?

what are the expected prices for each?

the way it's listed who wouldn't want the loaded LS9? now put up a $75,000. and see how far most run!

This poll is VERY interesting.

I suspect that most of those who chose the Loaded, LS9-equipped, upgraded-suspension car...are less than willing to pay for such a vehicle.

As for the other two peaks in the chart...I think these folks will be pleased.

IT all depends on the price. I can swing mid 50's but much over that and I'll be removing options.

The only reason I didn't put the LS7 version is because of the likelihood of it being discontinued.

I love my Camaro as is. For a Z28, I'm not sure. More horse to compete with the shelbys. With more horse, slightly better suspension, frame and brakes. As an old guy, I think I already have more car than I need. I can take most of what's out there or keep fairly close. For all that extra horse, you need ready access to a track or the autobahn. Also, with an LSA or LS9, or even an LS7, you have to worry about the price. If it goes up to 50K plus, I would think about a lightly used Z06, even in my wife doesn't like the looks as much. And trust me, I haven't seen a rendering of a proposed Z28 that holds a candle to my SS, in my opinion.

wtf you talking about willis? Don't be playing with my emotions, I'll show up at your house jk

I agree with the other two peaks the loaded ls3 suspension and the lsa loaded suspension, but I supposed it would be better to save the ls9 for the big daddies. ZL-1 and DICK HARRELLS

If you're ever in a hurry and are trying to not break the law at the same time, you'd be suprised at how many of the other drivers think they're racing you lol

happened with a VW and me the other day. I just accelled to the speed lmt quickly and he made it a point to stay in front of me and continued to do damn near 20 over the limit to the next city about 15miles away.
