Question HOW BAD ARE "BRUSHLESS" MACHINE CAR WASHES?

I have a great car wash that I have always used for my cars/trucks. Since I got my Camaro I've only hand washed it myself. With the cold weather coming I was wondering how bad is a traditional car wash??
The car wash I would use is very high quality... The wash ferrari, porsches, and lambos on a regular basis... is my Camaro safe??

thanks

The sarcastic answer would be, "No, Camaro's are more sensitive than those pasta rockets."

But since sarcasm doesn't translate well online....yes, your car will be fine. If the place does any hand-drying, politely ask if they use microfiber cloths to dry the cars, and if they regularly wash them.

If you have a C5 Corvette, I can tell you the touchless are bad....but then again, that's because the window closed against a seal....and that seal would get weak.... I got more wet azz's in a C5 vette than any other car - glad they made a channel in the C6 ! (and the Camaro has a similar channel / indexing window)

They will beat the sh*t out of your paint. I'm lucky to have a all hand wash close to my house.

Just watch your wheels if they have a track that you have to line yourself up to.

The only thing bad is that it's not going to get all of the contaminants off of the paint.

This wash deals with high end cars, has a super wide track, and spends about 20 min after the wash with one guy drying and detailing the car. This is the only wash i trust. doing it myself is my first option but sometimes weather and time become an issue. thanks for the input guys

What the **** are you talking about? The O.P. asked if "touchless" car washes are any good and I answered with my opinion!

Go bug somebody else, you're annoying me!

Lots of car washes "deal with high end cars" and most of them are scratching said cars either with the wash or their inferior drying towels. It comes down to what level of paint you are okay with. Personally, I have OCD, and an automated car wash equals 5 hours of polishing swirls with my DA polisher before I am happy again. So, I need to keep doing it myself just for my own piece of mind.

If I had white or silver paint, I'd be a bit more tolerable of car washes, but I went with black. darn it.
