I need some help, going nuts.

I hit 3400-being built on 10/2/09.

I just got an update from Viz and I am still at 3400 on 10/14.

Twelve days "being built".

I have called the dealer, GM customer service and no one knows why I dont have a vin.

What could possibily cause this delay?

I thought build were 4 days but even with the Thanksgiving holiday, I cant imagine whats wrong.

PLEASE ADVISE.

Did you get the rally stripes by any chance?

No stripes. Says its been on the line for 12 days. It doesnt make sense. Not sure what to do. Thanks for your help.

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to why some cars go through the system fast, and others just seem to drop off the radar.

Maybe someone else here with more experience can chime in and make a guess at least....

Hard to say really. Sounds like your built already...you just havnt been put into the system. Maybe once you are you will be well along in your shipping

I guess its not appropriate to attach a tracking device to my car before its even off the line huh??

Im 3 hours away from my dealer and would love to be able to get time off from work and be there when she comes in. Wish I would get back on the radar.

Have you heard of others waiting 2 weeks or more for a vin after production starts?

if it makes you feel any better im experiencing the same problem. they are telling me that the systems have quit updating for some reason

where are you sweet camaro of mine? :-(

Im so sorry you are in the same boat. It sucks. I am suprised how bummed out I was when I didnt get a vin today.

Did GM customer service say the system was not updating or was it your dealer?

well when i talked to my dealer he said that he talked to GM customer service and they didnt have a clue whats wrong either apparently. im a little on the upset side cuz when i ordered back in may they told me to expect it end of july and they have kept putting it off since then. i could almost cry hahaha!

Thats a long wait. What did they give you for a TPW?

TPW = Target Production Week.

TPW Target Production Week
It is supposed to be the week your car is built. In my case I have not gotten any verification that mine was built during the week of 10/5

mine was actually the exact same week and i havent heard anything after that as well
