Interior Colors
I know that all of this will be released in about 30 days or so, but I was wondering what color scheme is everyone looking forward to inside the Camaro? I mean I have my "dreams" of what I'll be choosing.. HOPEFULLY, I can get something like a red/black leather interior scheme, hopefully it won't clash with the gauges too much. I've always had a dream of having a car with red interior. I guess since this is my DREAM car, then hopefully I can get my DREAM interior. When I was first getting ready to order my 2007 BMW 335i Coupe, the red interior was my choice BEYOND all others. Surely, this is not German made, nor am I wishing it to be. The 5thgen IS the car that made me NOT purchase that car. Patience is a virtue, that's why we are ALL here pondering this thread daily, and multiple times at that. Just wanted to know everyones feel on what color choices and scheme are you going with. If this thread or a poll has been created... Don't KILL me for it!..

Yuck. Keep red out of there. If I had to have a bright color, make it blue (see a pattern here with my comments in the gauge color discussion?). Otherwise, I'm busy looking at the gauges and the road, I don't want to be distracted by the seats.

you can go to an aftermarket place and have anything you want put in. If you come down to FL, go to S.A.T. They do a hell of a job. 2 tone, piping, mesh, anything you want...

I would like blue houndstooth pattern with the camaro emblem on the headrest. Also, I was thinking it would be cool if the door insert panels and the dash insert matched the exterior color ( allthough maybe it would be too much and look G@Y.)
But blue on the inside, i like |

i want a charcoal or black interior with yellow lighting in the control panel. if the yellow is not offered i'll settle for blue. i hope they offer that stripe that runs along the dash and onto the door panels like the concept, i want that to be yellow. and black fabric seats with yellow stitching

I really like the 03-04 Cobra seats, but I'd rather just have cloth. No freakin side bolster wear FTW.

I'm a little split. I'm not a huge fan of color in interiors, so it will have to be black, gray, beige, or some combination of those. I like the look of black the best, but it sure gets hot faster. Gray looks nice too (though not as nice, in my opinion) but also shows wear and dirtiness more. Edmunds had a long term Hyundai with gray leather seats and their jeans actually stained the leather. I assumed it was just a Hyundai quality problem, but other people reported the same problem throughout multiple makes and models. Beige is out as it does not look good and has the same problems as gray. I'd say black seats with white stitching and a black dash with brushed aluminum or carbon fiber trim (as realistic as possible please) would probably be ideal. I'll just keep window shades handy when I park it.

I'm personally hoping for black and white, like the convertible concept. If not, black/dark gray and black/light blue (Like Jinx's) would be my second and third choices, respectively. Otherwise, its solid black with some serious interior work coming (good thing I like to paint) to make some of the trim pieces a dark metallic gray/silver. But honestly, I would be so disappointed if they showed us the awesome convertible interior and then didn't let us buy it. Just saying. And blue gauge lighting/dash lighting. Luckily theres such a huge gauge after market if I really don't like the gauges, and I was planning on getting a new stereo deck anyway.

I want black or an extremely dark gray with silver trim. Bright colors belong on toddlers toys, not car interiors (imo).
The wraparound panels that the concepts have/had should be silver with the option for body color in the production models. |
