I believe I read an earlier post in which you said temps were down where you are at. Cold weather could cause this...

I read if you apply to much Z5 you will play h@#%* getting it off, I'd suggest using the Z6 finish spray to clear the Z5 off and redo. Use with just a hint of product coming off applicator pad. I use one strip diagonally across pad per body panel. never a problem with it. HTH

at temps around 54 degrees you probably have to let it sit all day.

You can let it sit overnight and wipe it off in the morning, if it's inside it won't be a problem, the longer it can sit the better

Well, could be any of the following reasons;

1. You used too much
2. It hasn't dried completely
3. The temps. in our area are not too ideal for using Zaino right now. The drying time is almost doubled right now.

Did you use the ZFX?

If you're able to, you can let it sit on the car. I've let Zaino sit on my SS, overnight, with no problems.

How much polish did you mix up total? The ZFX comes with bottles, each 2oz. I've found I can do the entire car with only 3/4 oz. per coat. Wet your application pad with water, wring it out and give it a spritz of Z-6. Some have managed to only use 1/2 oz. per coat, I have not gotten to that level yet.

My guess is you're using too much.

I use the 2oz. bottles, mixed with ZFX. I regularly get 2 coats out of just 1 oz.

everyone is right on. I use zaino all the time but the following are NOT your friend:

-low temps
-high humidity
-too much product
-clouds
-dark cars

Basically you have to forget everything you learned about waxing a car. The best place to use zaino is in the sun. It needs to cure. You know you are putting enough on if you really cant see it going on. If you see a coat, its WAY too much! The 2oz bottle will get me 4 coats.
