My local dealership had one. Red 3LT Z51 with most options. MSRP of $72K with a $20K dealer mark up for a grand total of $92K.

It was there for a couple of days before it sold.

Rebel Chief of Intelligence ShnoMac,

Start looking for a GM Media document with details of Z/28 suspension changes. Find it and post it before I explode.

Gonna be a rough ride around town...

"The Z/28 will also have stiffer springs (85% stiffer in front and 65% stiffer in the rear) and a 1.29-inch lower center of gravity than the SS."

Still looking for said document...

They said it wouldn't be a daily driver for a reason.

25 mm front bar and 26 mm rear bar which are smaller than 1SS bars.

http://media.gm.com/dld/content/dam/...under-2013.pdf

* 85 percent stiffer front springs, and 65 percent stiffer rear springs, are optimized to match the new DSSV dampers

* 25 percent stiffer lower trailing-link bushings on the rear suspension improve lateral stiffness in cornering and reduce wheel deflection during hard braking

* 50 percent stiffer lower-arm link bushings on the front suspension, improve steering feel

* 400 percent stiffer rear upper control arm bushings improve lateral stiffness to cope with 1.08 max-lat cornering

* Smaller stabilizer bars (from 28 to 25 mm front; 27 to 26 mm rear) are tuned to match the reduced rebound travel

Motortrend Z51: 0-60 3.7, 1/4 12.0 118.4, 60-0 95', Laguna Seca 1:38.28

All of these numbers bested a 911 Carrera 4S: 3.9, 12.3 114.4, 98', 1:39.

Very impressive!

I've was wondering how the Camaro handling would change if they used a short-long arm front suspension instead of a strut. Would it have any noticeable impact?

We think alike... I just figured that the other parts came before the wheels... which are the biggest weight savings of the build compared to the 1SS

I would say negligible but when you are looking for bits of seconds in lap times it might do something.

That being said, the Porsche 911 GT3 has a Macpherson strut front suspension.
