Oh no though. Tom handed me the turbo in the office and stated it was a garrett. He is not a free man on this issue. I spent several hours there in the shop with Tom and jeremy. We even sat in the office and he explained the turbo to me with it sitting on the desk in front of us. So hell no he is as much involved in this matter as Jeremy. Based on what you just stated above we were given a knock off turbo am I correct?

I have found photos online that match up exactly to our turbos that are garretts. Seems as if garrett doesn't always stamp along the side of the turbo. They do however stamp the AR on the side which is not there on the cold side. Ours have been polished extensively.

I cant see under ur turbo blanket Sir..... Show me the pics of garretts thar arent labeled..

http://www.turbomaster.info/eng/turb...fy_garrett.php

Look for the identification name plate of the turbo. In the T series you can usually find it on the body of the turbo or on the inlet plate, held by 2 clinches. Although in the GT series it is usually recorded by computer on the compressor housing or with a name plate held by 2 clinches.

Once you find the identification name plate there are several possibilities.
  1. 1 . On the name plate there is a Garrett part number, usually ( directly after the p/n or part number), where the turbo is already identified.
2 . Only the O.E.M. part number (that of the maker of the engine) appears on the name plate, this is normally the case with CATERPILLAR, DETROIT DIESEL, JOHN DEERE, PERKINS and K.H.DEUTZ, this is why we need to search for the crossing using the search of this Web site, introducing the O.E.M. part number and searching by O.E.M. part number ( it should maintain the same style with spaces, hyphens, etc...).
3 . In the event that the previous steps do not bring any results contact GARRETT by Fax or e-mail and we will attept to find the part number.

...I am telling you...Tom knows as much as me about FI.....He is the money and name behind the business. Its like me handing you a fake $100 bill....If you dont have the REAL know how....you will pass it to someone else without knowing. Thats what Tom did...he trusted JT.

JT would be the one to order this turbo....pass it off as real...tell Tom its real....Tom passes it to you as real....and here we are today:(

I know as a lawman you will say that does not excuse Tom....he owned the business....I know that....I am here to defend Tom the person... not Ultimate Performance...because God knows what else JT has done to damage this mans good name.

BTW....you are not 100% sure that you have a fake...am I correct.??

So based on that all the bull tom told me while riding to lunch and all of his knowledge is just talk. He is the money man behind this company and pays all the bills and would see this scam in front of him. He was holding the turbo in his own hand while he was telling me how the Garrett turbo works. So I call Bullshit.

The spot were label is suppose to be is blank. Turbo was ground on pretty aggressive and then polished best I can see. Only marking at all is on exhaust side .96 AR. Thats it. Good thing I have also noticed is that the turbo is both water and oil cooled. Most all the knock offs I have seen are not dual cooled. So can Tom not make a official statement or is he going to hide till he is called out with maybe a civil suit or criminal warrant for Theft by deception. Why can't he just post a invoice for the turbos were they were posted. Again he is the financial backbone of this company so he is responsible for it.

Again, did you see under the turbo blanket? Any pics of that? What type of wastegate do you have? What blow off valve?

If it is blank its obviously a fake, no one in their right mind would remove the garrett label..

Garrett Dual Ball Bearing T04Z/T04R 67mm GT37R
[GT37R] $1,500.00

This is one of the most popular combinations for serious power in a relatively small frame. This turbo has been called a GT67, GT37R, T04Z, etc. by other shops over the years. However, there is nothing GT about it. The compressor wheel was derived from a T04S/T04R combination over 10 years ago and the P trim turbine wheel certainly has been around the block once or twice. Even though the parts that make up this combination were designed ages ago, this turbo really packs a serious punch. This turbo is custom assembled to AGP's specs in house so you know you're getting the right parts.

Compressor Specs: v - T04S housing 4" inlet 2.5" outlet
- Ported Shroud Option for Surge and Choke enhancement v - 63 trim T04R (67mm) compressor wheel 75lb/min

Turbine Specs:
- T31 4 bolt outlet turbine housing available in .63 and .82 A/R
- T4 Tangential Divided Housing available in .58, .70, .84, 1.00 w/3" Vband
- T4 Tangential Open Housing available in .58, .68, .81, .96 w/3" Vband
- P trim Turbine Wheel
