Gm has done three as a give away. I don't think you'll see them do a Transformer edition. It would be nice though. I'd by one

This seems like a good aftermarket kit idea. I don't think GM would do it. There are too many licensing issues with the copyrights to the character.

I'm surprised that GM wouldn't at least offer the same (or very similar) color at least. I can understand not wanting to call it the "Bumblebee" or "Transformer" Edition because of licensing rights, but if they just offered the similar color they wouldn't really have to license anything. It's just a special yelllow.

I'd be one the guys to convert my SS or Z/28 to look like Bumblebee. I have a feeling they will offer the color but not like in an edition, but if they did I'd buy it.

It would be cool, with a little Autobot insignia in the middle of the steering wheel and everything. But I'd be fine with a similar color that I'd be prepared to pay as much as 1000$ extra.

I'd want one that looked like the one from the first Transformers but with the hoodscoop from EmoBee.

You can bet some aftermarket company will be making the Transfomers emblem and sticker. Heck you might see a upfitter doing the whole car.

Same here.. About a thousand extra if the color matches that of the movie more closely than the rally yellow we've seen...

Difference between Bullitt and Bumblebee is, though... Highland Green isn't insanely expensive to replicate. xD

It would one of the dumbest marketing mistakes GM has ever done should they not make a Bumblebee version. How many kids grew watching Smokey and the Bandit movies and yearning to own the Black with gold pinstriped Trans Am's driving down the road?

Imagine how many GM/Chevrolet fans they would create of the younger generation if they came out with that car. Not my favourite color combo but I would probably buy it only to be the coolest dad on earth!

^Well Put! I would definitely buy one if it came out! I wouldn't even have to take time to decide, now that it is not an option I have to choose a different color...

ah but how many of those kids could actually go out and buy one? or at the very least could convince their dad to go and buy one?

None of them but that's not the point. I was one of those who fell in love with Trans Am's as a result of Smokey and the Bandit and my heart skipped a beat everytime I saw one drive by.

What did that do? Well I currently own over 10 GM vehicles.

Same here.. Watching Knight Rider as a kid really got me into cars. Especially Pontiacs.. So now I own a Pontiac G6 and am going to own a Camaro.. I purchased a 98 Mustang because at the time it was the closest looking thing to K.I.T.T. believe it or not to me..
