Just got my car back from paint where I was having the carbon fiber roof clear coated. It came out beautifully!!! Carbon By Design laid the carbon fiber for me, and as always it looks perfect!!! Check it out.......

is this just an overlay of carbon fiber over the metal roof?

looks nice!! i think i'd prefer to have the trunk and the spoiler incorporated... anotherwords, the spoiler not a separate piece... grats!! now all you need is a hood!

edit: i just went to their website and they make some other cool CF parts for the Camaro!!

it looks great...we have been wanting cf parts for our g8's as well but no one has come thru for us maybe i will contact them and see if they can make a few parts for us as welll!

I don't want to give exact pricing because it will be different for every person, but it was under a grand total for everything.

Yes, it was a wet lay of the carbon fiber on the stock metal roof. A shop I work with is going to be developing an actual replacement in the near future.

Good news for you then! I will have the carbon fiber dovetail style spoiler put on later this week just before I leave for SEMA. They will be offering this option in the near future once test fitting and everything is done. Pricing not announced yet. They are also going to be workin on an integrated spoiler option similar to what they curently offer for the Charger.

BTW, I already have the hood

I got ya on that front, I have been in discussion with them about making some G8 parts. They might need a test vehicle

I just love carbon fiber. I was originally going to start with the roof for my own purposes, I just think it looks good. You have to see it in person, these pics were shot with my iPhone, doesn't do it justice at all.

Wait until you see it all with my two tone when it's completed

I agree, my ENTIRE Engine used to be carbon fiber. So, I understand you passion. I would post it but do not want to take away from all the awesome products coming out on your car..

ok weird i was talking to travis about doing that with my car and i was told the roof was cut off and the person he was doing it for was gutting his car out for racing. weird but guess when i show travis my car at sema i will again ask my questions.

i had a really cool idea which i am not saying has not been done before but would have looked cool on the camaro. also the best part is my camaro is the hotwheels camaro, body kit designed by hotwheels

This is not the car we where talking about. The car that cut his roof out and did a whole replacement was a SRT-4 time attack car. We have done two Camaros like this for sema. We can do a whole roof replacement but that would require a crazy tool and a lot of work on the customers end.

Not so much that....Its just so expensive..I didnt say I didnt like it..Was just wondering why the roof of all things. My cosmetic changes cost less than 70 bucks cause I dont have money to burn on stuff like that.
