In 1 day?

Hello all,
I want to get vents in my hood. The dealer won't touch it. If I were to buy an aftermarket set of vents, Can they be installed in one day? Anyone on here close to me install them? About how much to install?

Thank you!

HEX VENTS

You want HEX VENTS??? Why don't you contact Hex Vents? I know that they sometimes travel to auto/Camaro events and they sell them with either free install or low cost. The guy does it in about an hour. He's done this at both Camarofests in Indiana. It really is a DIY install, I've done the Heat Extractor. Make sure that you get the painted Hex Vents. I would give you a hand, buy me a Hoagie and a tank of gas.

Sounds great! I'm thinking maybe I'll keep my stripes, and get 2 small ones for the outer sides. However, I can't make up my mind.

I checked out the Hex Vent sight. They have them to go over my stripes!! Ok that's what I want. Are they close to PA? or Does anyone else sell them locally?

WALMART sells them, but only at Super WALMARTS..... The HexVent site sells them to you and a guy in a brown truck, with a brown uniform will bring them to your house or work, which ever you choose. You have to send Hexvent company pieces of paper with pictures of old guys on them. They like the picture papers with the guy that discover electricity on them.

Follow these steps:

Order the vents from the internet. When that happens, they come to your house.
Find a body shop near you that will install them.
Make an appointment.
Put the vents in your car.
Go to the shop.
Leave your car for as long as they need it - should only be a couple hours, few max.
When they call you, go back.
Pay them.
Drive your Camaro with Hex Vents installed home and enjoy the shit out of it.

Take pics.
Post them here.

The End

Thanks! Unfortunately, I don't trust any body shops where I live.
Also, are the vents just for looks, or are they functional as well?

I thought you went to the website, all the info you're asking for is there. Yes, they're functional. They keep your engine a little cooler and relieve under-hood pressure. There are several videos online that show you exactly how to do it if you want to give it a shot yourself.
