Intense_racing, twin turbo...has it always been this expensive?

I just went to their website and was amazed that the price for their twin turbo kit is now $20K. I was considering it in the past, but did not recall it being this much. Has it always been this way?

I suspect that includes a complete engine built for boost.

At least that is what I would do for that price.

they should take the "1" off the front of that price... unless they are doing more internally.

20k for the hp returns.... sorry, but no.

I didn't look at the details, but for 20K I would give you a G-note of power.

I agree for 20k you shoudl get a fully rebuilt car!! At least that is what my company does with our new "supercar packages" to be released after SEMA.

But seriously, 20k??? there must be something else going on there.

That kind of power can be very very drivable. We are building over 800HP and it is a daily drivable car. stay tuned...more detail after SEMA

At this point that will be Flywheel....But I have also been upping the HP goal recently because of some numbers that I have seen people making. I originally thought 750 would be what I saw, but now I am seeing better numbers with less mods than what I have planned!!

So we could be pleasantly suprised!!

I dont want to get into too many details openly, as I need to keep the overall package quiet until after SEMA...if you want some more info, please PM or email me.

driveability is a misnomer to me. I'll drive anything.

then again, I'm used to having to two-foot the gas and brake and pop the trans in neutral at stop lights... in my auto Z.

Twin Turbo's are very costly and time consuming to do.I wouldn't think of doing one under $10k. This is why bolt-on superchargers are more cost affective.

I was the testing mule for the project, therefore, I did not pay $20k.

BTW - The intense guys were great and I'm glad I took the car there. This car is for real.

I'm sorry, but 20K is just ridiculous! If you compare it to the APS kit for the 4th gen w/LG upgraded turbos (because the stock ones sucked) you're right around 10K. APS gave you new, custom cast iron exhaust manifolds (not stock manis w/an intermediate pipe) and your air filters arent sitting right underneath your motor. I'm sure it will put out good power, but not enough to justify the price.

Yes,they are $10k but they are around a 40hr install, then with a beefy fuel system you could be $18-$20k quickly. We just built a 418ci motor which is ussing the APS twin 70's.

But does the Intense setup cover fuel system, installation and tuning perhaps? If that's the case I'd be interested in seeing what just the kit costs. If not, my previous post stands.

Just ran 11.7 @121 mph in humid 70* weather, I should be mid to low 11's once I learn how to drive it
