West Coast Camaro5 gathering ? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

We need a Camaro5 gathering on the West Coast. I would love to attend the one in Georgia, However it is a hell of a long way from Vancouver BC. I am sure there would be a lot of West Costers who would attend.

OK! What track and who would do the organizing. Not to slight Camaro5 but, there are a good number of members in the Central and West. Like I said I would love to attend but from the Northwest to the Southeast corners of North America is just not in the cards.

our camaro club is planning a Camaro only drag race & cruise for July 9th & 10th, Drag race will be held at PR in Kent washington & then maybe a cruise from around that area over to Sunset Chevrolet & then on Sunday is our All Camaro & Chevy show.

May even include speical guesses?

Count me in for that! Will your Camaro group be posting later on down the road. Your customs will let me across with one plate, just don't know if they will let come home again. LOL

if you check out the Northwest Section you will see posts there. Northwest section
All events that we post there non club members are welcome to come to.

Book marked your site. Might even join if you accept Canucks EH. Have not started 2010 day planner yet, but when I do I will circle those dates. Hope some of the other GVRD Camaro guys pick up on this meet.

our dates are planned out on On Jan 1st or 2nd for the next year & Yes we do allow CNDS in the club (C-AY-N-AY-D-AY) lol spells canada lo.

We have quite a few folks attending from the West Coast for this function for next year 2010 and for 2011 we will probably take it out west. I ask that you speak to Tran before you arrange an event using the Camaro5 name especially Camaro5 Fest as he is the one who approves that stuff. Thanks and good luck

And to add to that we have official Sponsors/Vendors for Camaro5 Fest and using the official name Camaro5 Fest somewhere that we have not agreed upon as forum staff will cause a bunch of headaches and issues.

Tran from Vegas. I met him and Stealth Camaro just recently at LVMS. Just to clarify I don't think the NW Camaro group are calling it Camaro5Fest. They just invited me to there event and a few other members jumped on board. I started the thread in support of a Camaro5Fest in the West at some point, I don't think that is out of line. I am happy to see you are planning a Camaro5fest for the West in 2011. I could fly to Georgia for the event cause I am upwardly mobile but what would be the point without my Maro.

You saying you met Tran the owner of this site @ LVMS or another Tran? I just changed Camaro5 Fest out of the title and from your post. the Vendors and Sponsors of the Fest monitor the forum quite a bit and I didnt want them to have any misunderstanding that is all. We are all for meets etc. In the Fest threads we have had great conversations and action items for "Official" meets in other locations. So feel free to get in there and see where we are with the process and add your thoughts if you like

The camaro club will not use Camaro5 fest but they may use Camaro fest lol.

Is the Fbodyfather going to be at the Seattle Car Show on the 11th for sure. Vancouver Group is talking about a cruise down to Seattle for that. My Maro is parked for the winter but can permit for the day if the weather is good. But if he is there for sure I just might run the Cav down just to meet. When I ended up as 1 of the final 4 in Area 51 He sent the rail tracking # to me personally and a sorry for the delay. Cool guy would like to meet him.

When i asked the US Border dudes they had no issue. But remember they will not be happy leaving there booth to look at rear plate. My suggestion is go to Home depot find a couple of suction cups to hold plate on inside of windshield. But be careful of scratching plastic dashboard. I know I have seen suction cups that would work, might have to search a bit.

Now as far as our customs dudes. I posed the same question to them. There answer was if they wanted to the could pull you aside for inspection and call Abby PD to deal with the no front plate issue. That's par for the course as in all my border experiences the bad ones are always coming back home. There atitude sucks. They treat you like common criminals.
