It's all bundled -- LTE upgrade is included too, WiFi hotspot, etc.:

http://media.gm.com/content/media/us...05-4g-lte.html

IMHO Camaro should be on the list of FIRST to get features like this, at least as an option...

I agree completely....Hopefully since it says including those cars/trucks...that doesn't mean *only* those cars.....I can't see the Camaro not getting this.

We need the hardware portion of it, which we dont have....the 15 models will, and not all of them.

Knowing GM, the 5th Gen Camaro will be the red-headed step-child and have to wait till the 6th Gen to get these features.

I was wondering about that too, but I'm not sure they would do that with the new Mustang coming out this year.

Might surprise us and give a few unexpected goodies for the last year of the 5th Generation.....Maybe even another blue...lol

I think the MyLink radio would take the place of using the phone for Maps, finding gas prices and several other things....Using the car radio would be less distracting than using a phone.....but I do have my wife do all that stuff for me.....I just like the idea of having it all in the car.

Libertyforall,

There is an option to share vehicle data if you already subscribe to AT&T. AT&T customers can add their vehicle on to a Mobile Shared Data plan for only $10 a month. I hope this helps!

Lightbulb

Except that unlimited data is a different plan from mobile share, and that does not apply! What is needed is the ability to share data from my iPhone over WiFi, USB or even Bluetooth like a hotspot to the car!

I would consider this basic functionality this system absolutely should have.

MyLink overall refers to the software package. There are different hardware versions used in the various different car models. They don't all support the same functions. None of these "new" features are likely to work on the Camaro model. I would expect the 2016 model will have a new hardware package and support the new features.
